Hey all. I'm heading into Disney for a quick trip next weekend staying at Old Key West. I'll be getting in about six hours before the rest of my family, so I was planning on getting a few drinks around town. I plan to hit Trader Sam's and Jock Lindsey's Hanger Bar to start. Any drink recommendations? I prefer craft beers, hoppy IPA's, but I'll take a delicious Long Island as well. Any alcoholic drinks that are your favorite? I won't have a car until my family gets there so I'll be sticking to Disney properties on Saturday. However, Sunday I'll be heading to Universal so any recommendations there or any local breweries around the area would be great too. Thanks!

Trader Sam's has Cigar City Jai Alai IPA, which is very good. The Wave at the Contemporary has many more IPA options and probably the best on-property beer selection period.

I can't speak to Jock Lindsey's.

Next as in this coming weekend or the weekend after? If it's the weekend after you need to head over to the F&W festival in Epcot. You'll find a fair amount of good beers/IPA's.

Awesome, thanks for the info about the Contemporary. Looking forward to trying the Cigar City Jai Alai.

Little Miss Minnie, it will be the next weekend so I will be hitting F&W on Monday if all goes according to plan. Thanks for your reply.

I was going to recommend the Jai Alai. Cigar City is a Florida brewery and their beers can be hard to find outside of Florida. Jai Alai is one of the better IPAs around - gets I believe a 99 on ratebeer.com. Had it recently on tap in NYC and plan on grabbing a few when we are at Disney next month. Sweetwater IPA is another pretty good beer (Georgia brewery) that you can find at a spot or two at Disney. Go to the Beers and ears website for a pretty good overview of the beers at Disney.

I hear that Trader Joes is a huge pain in the *** to get into. Perhaps consider heading over to the Boardwalk area instead? Crew's Cup Lounge has a decent craft beer selection, including Jai Alia in a can, and you can hit the Swan & Dolphin bars (which I don't have much familiarity with), plus ESPN Club and Big River Brewery

Another great recommendation.

Check out the Beers and Ear app on iTunes. I have it, haven't used it for a while but it's a good resource for suds at WDW.
