Beer $$

I just asked for one put my beer in and then they filled it up with ice for me.

Lets do the math ....30 beers @ $4= $120+15% tip= $138 now if I bring my own $18.99+$15 extra bag charge= $33.99...so a savings of $104.01= WORTH MY TIME:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Rob

So lemme see your time is worth about $1 per hour for the week. If you're looking for a job then I'm hiring!:upsidedow

Make sure they're iced, bring them to the pool, go ask for a bottle opener, oh sure walk into dinner with a six pack under your arm, bring a bucket of your own beer to the bar. Works for me!

We brought cans execpt for a 12 pack of Mikes because they don't sell it in cans. It doesn't matter what you bring but you can not have bottles by the pool

They serve bottles at the bars.
At the pool they give you plastic bottles or cans.

The aluminum bottles cool faster and stay cool longer. The only drawback is that they are a little more expensive.

Can I just check, if Dh brings cans of beer onboard - can he walk around with them anywhere?? (ie can he bring a can from the room straight to the pool/topsiders or could he bring one in to dinner??)

Just wondered whether it will be worth the hassle of carrying them on board - I don't want to feel awkward or 'naughty:lmao: ' by doing anything that is frowned upon, and I don't think he will end up drinking much in the room - but he would like a beer at the pool or with dinner.

thanks alot!!:thumbsup2

You can take your beer anywhere. However, I did not bring it into the dinning room but some people do and just poor it into a glass

Do they sell canned beer in the bars or just the bottles? Wondering which to buy so it doesn't look so obvious!

It depends what beer your drink. Some are in bottle and others are in cans.
I drink bud light and they had bottles at the bars and plastic bottles at the pools.

I'm planning on picking up a few "adult beverages" when we are in Key West. I remember our last cruise a few years ago (in July, hot, hot, hot!!). When we were in Key West I was walking back to the ship with a 12 pack of COLD Coor's Light under one arm and a piece of chocolate dipped Key Lime Pie on a stick in the other hand. Life was good :)!! I had no problem whatsoever bringing anything back on the ship.

You had the beer in the 'open' .... didn't put it in anything to diguise it?

I think the $4 per beer is a good deal, most bottle beers around her when you go to dinner/bars would be about $3.75 - $4.50, so if you need to buy 20 & get 4 free, that is a good deal.

Does anyone know if they have SAM ADAMS LITE?
