We are going to get groceries delivered by either garden grocer or goodings when we come and I know both will deliver alchohol if requested....so my question on the beer subject (forgive me if this question comes across as an ignoratn northerner) but do they have beer like Sam Adams and Newcastle down there? My DH drinks the odd beers so I am wondering what kind of selection he will have that I can request with my order and actually get. thanks for any input.

We had a delightful little brew down there called Gator Pee. But seriously, I have had Sam Adams and one of my favs, Yuengling in Fla.

mmmm gator pee sounds great ! :lmao: dh actually likes to try local brews too, he prefers dark beers so if you have any other recommendations on local brews that would be great. I am a vodka girl myself so no beer worries for me...I will be shipping my rasberry stoli down via UPS ;)

In regards to shipping UPS make sure you pack your things well as it is against the law to ship alcohol across state lines and if it gets broke it will not make it to WDW, I work for UPS and have seen alot poured down the drain. When asked what the contents are just say food and you should be ok.

shipping stoli rasberry? for all the agita, i'd rather just go to the liquor store.

Raspberry stoli sounds like a lightweight girlie drink to me, but then I like the infamous Kungaloosh, so who am I to judge?

My wife's favorite drink is Stoli Raspberry (or as she calls it, Stoli Raz) and Sprite.

I've tried it a couple times, a bit too sweet for me, but not bad overall.

no knock on the stoli per se, but i wouldn't ship it. It's not like you are talking about some local vodka you can't buy in the store.

when are you making those kangelooshes? are you there july 4th?

I won't get down until 17 October. We'll be there 17-27 October hopefully in the 1600 loop. I will start mixing the Kungaloosh on the 17th and won't stop for 10 days.

I know a guy who used to call a cab to go to the liquor store and get him a bottle with the meter running, then drop it @ his house.Paid for the fare and the bottle. Of course he was a fall down drunk, but just a suggestion.

colson that is what i drink it with too...i am a light weight girlie by the way ;)

Bootlegging huh haha... honestly didnt know it was illegal to ship liquor. I know that when you buy liquor at liquor stores you can have them ship it to you without issue so I am confused as to how it is different. I have bought liquor in several states as well as out of the country and had it shipped home without a problem. So i guess I should reconsider shipping it huh,,,will have to rethink how to get it down with me.

I think the cab idea is out since I can just order it with the groceries as a back up plan. But good to know what raging alcoholics do to get their fix hahaha.

thanks all!
