So when I went to the Blue Sky Cellar exhibit at DCA and asked about the Biergarden they said it was not to be.... I could have sworn one was in the works... Has anyone else heard otherwise?

Last I heard it was a no-go. I've stopped trying to get any answers out of CMs about the renovation though, they don't really seem to know anything.

Man such a bummer, if it was anything like the one at EPCOT it would have been lots of fun.

Originally the idea was to do a Beer Garden but it could change. Probably they will put in a large dining area as an anchor for the site. Currently the only places to eat on the south side of the park are clear down at the Wharf, the Corndog Castle, the pizza place and Ariel's. The idea is to make one massive kitchen with outdoor seating and something like Plaza Inn. It could be a 1920's style eatery or a Beer Garden for example.

Everything that is on paper is up in the air until they get the next phase completed. Money and economics along with other obstacles can put off some stuff or terminate some stuff.
