Last time my Dad & I had dinner at the Concourse Steakhouse we had left something in our room (staying at the Contemporary so all we took to get there was the elevator), well you know the CM tell you that you can't take the beepers into your room because they won't work. Well while we were in our room our beeper went off saying our table was ready. Just curious are the CM wrong when they say they won't work in the rooms or were we just lucky this time?

let's put it this way -- the little beepers are operated (triggered) by a very low power radio signal -- often with an output of less than a quarter of a watt. I never assume they will work beyond 250 feet in the clear, let alone expecting the signals to punch through concrete and steel.

I was just a CM's last night... they said it should work on every floor. I didn't attempt it but it did work all the way near the shops at the other end of the floor. :)
