For anyone who has been at FW lately and used the Disney Transportation system for Early Entry to the parks:

How did you get to MK by 7:30? When we went in Oct. we had to take the Crockett to TTC, hop resort monorail and barely made it to the gates by 7:30. The boat didn't get to the MK dock until about 7:40 and as everyone knows, by then Fantasyland has lines everywhere!

Where you able to get to MGM by 7:30? We didn't go there on our last trip so tell me how to get there on time.

I'm planning out our game plan for our August trip and with it being summer (HOT!) and crowded, I want to make every effort to take advantage of the early hours and get a jump on the crowds. During the week we are at FW, we are only going to the major parks 2 or 3 days, so that is why I want to make the most of our time.

I appreciate any pointers!

In October, the campground was not overcrowded, but the Magic Kingdom gets very clogged on Early Entry mornings. We have young children who love Fantasyland, and if you are at the gates at 7:30, you can jog to Fantasyland and ride Dumbo with almost no wait, then on to Pooh, Peter Pan etc. In that first 1/2 hour you can get on many rides that would take you 3 times as long with a later arrival.

Anyone have any transportation info for me? Please??

We were just there and to do EE at MK the bus to TTC and monorail was the only option. We waited and waited for a bus though and didn't get there til 8:15 and we left the cabin a few minutes after 7 (I tried to get everyone out by 6:45 but just couldn't swing it!)

For MGM we drove - it was just the easiest and gave us a few more minutes to sleep.

Wow, I can't believe you didn't get there until 8:15!!! You would think they would have a few more busses going in the AM. Would be nice if the boats would get to the dock by 7:00 am, too. Someone told us the boats leave their overnight dock at 7:15 am. Not enough time to make it by 7:30.

I think you're right about the 6:45 time. We heard a bus go by about that time while we were locking up our trailer. It took awhile for the next bus which came about 7:05 or so. At the TTC we ran to the monorail and only the resort one was going so it was right at 7:30 or so when we finally made it there.

I'm going to have to shake my family out of the trailer by 6:30 just to make sure we catch the first bus!

Thanks!
