Interesting. Thanks for the reply. Seems like a silly reason as they sell turkey legs everywhere too. Oh well!
Maybe people were asking for more once they'd had enough and taking it all with them. I guess it would be fairly easy to do to ask for more cornbread and ribs and eat one and take the rest.
That would be my guess. It's a rare thing that something is all you care to eat, and then they let you take leftovers. I wouldn't have expected to take leftovers from there anyway.
My DSIS's BF took his leftovers from BB, but then carried them around the park all afternoon and ended up tossing them.
This must be very recent. We ate there June 23 and took leftovers with us.
We enjoyed it and walked right in at around 2:00 pm.
For what it's worth... I don't know a single AYCE restaurant that allows "doggie bags." The amount of food loss and waste would be ludicrous!
Genuinely curious--why do you care about leftovers if it's an all you can eat and you just get what you want, then stop?
This probably is what happens to most of the Doggie Bags in Disney. That would be my guess. It's a rare thing that something is all you care to eat, and then they let you take leftovers. I wouldn't have expected to take leftovers from there anyway.

I agree, if you are going back to a fridge after, then it's worthwile, but if not why bother. But there is just as much waste when they don't allow the leftovers (that will be dumped after the guests leave), to be taken home. They can't take the food to another table after it has sat on someone else's table, so it does go to waste if not taken home.
I think it's too risky to carry food around if you can not go directly back to a hotel with fridge, etc...
FYI BTB is not a run of the mill AYCE...it's all served family style. So in our case, they brought all the food over to our table in cute little buckets and bowls and we dished up from there.
