Well up early (well, fairly early) and off to the IHOP next door to fill up on breakfast. The "continental breakfast" at the hotel was a joke - but they usually are so no surprise. The chocolate chocolate-chip pancakes were to die for at IHOP. We don't have any in our neck of the woods so I really wanted us to eat there. It was great!! Off to Seaworld.
What an awesome place!! We must have spent two-hours at the penguin exhibit with our DS4. Everytime we went thru the exhibit it was like the first time for him. DS13 an DD12 spent most of the morning at the dolphin feeding pen trying to pet one. The shark and moray eel exhibit was kinda creepy in a fun way and DS4 got such a kick out of feeding the sharks in the pools out front. Actually - six anchovies for $4 was probably the best meal deal going in the park. The have a great play area for young kids and DS4 took full advantage of it. We went to see the Shamu show and after the first splash DS4 headed for the hills. He and DH spent the remainder of the show up top.
Well, we spent a full day at Seaworld and hopped onto the I-ride back to the hotel. I forgot to mention that our hotel is located directly across the street from Wet-n-Wild. When we returned from SeaWorld we noticed hundreds of teenagers standing outside. We found out it was a grad night. So were up in our room and I notice a police car heading across the street. Pretty soon theres a fire engine and an ambulance. Then more police cars, and more fire trucks. Kids are pouring out of Wet-n-Wild into the streets (which have been cordoned off). All and all in the end there were 30 police cars. 10 fire engines, ambulances all over the place and swat helicopters all over the sky with beams of light all over the place. We all felt like we were watching some kind of action packed movie made just for us. Nothing ever happens like this back home!! Finally, we walked over to IHOP for a late (very) dinner and we were told that they sold way to many tickets for grad night and fights starting breaking out which turned into a riot. What a night!!
Oh well, checking into POR first thing in the morning - Disney here we come!!
