I'm just killing time till the kids get up, so thought I'd post! :) My daughter had an upset tummy and low grade fever yesterday and when my son was little he got a virus in his hip joint which resulted in him being unable to walk, and it appears it's back. So sleeping in today is what is needed!

This is out first trip to the dark side and we are staying at PBH. We arrived Sunday at 8:00am so we hit US at 9:00. We decided not to worry about DA and just do the rest if the park first with EP. Everything was walk on, in fact I'm sure most everyone was in DA because the park felt so empty. Great for a first trip! Unfortunately my husband, son and I discovered we just can't do simulated rides! We all had sea bands and took ginger gravol, but once we hit the Simpsons we were done! My daughter went on all rides after that herself! Her favorite was rip ride rocket!

We checked out DA around 1:00 and gringotts was at 120min. We did olivanders and waited 5min. That was cute! We then took in the sights and tried the frozen butter beer! Loved it! Then we took HE to IOA. We waited about 30-40 min.
Then back to the hotel for dinner and a swim. The pool is awesome! We can see fireworks from our room!

Yesterday we went to aquatica and depending on how the kids are today, we will go to IOA. I'm looking forward to Seuss land, LOL! As long as my daughter is fine , we can just rent a wheelchair for my son and we will be off for another fun day! Fingers crossed , if anyone had any questions, let me know , I may have lots of time on my hands! :)

Seabands and ginger gravol do absolutely nothing for me. Normal gravol puts me to sleep. The only thing I find effective you can't buy in Canada, and that is Bonine (also called Less Drowsy Dramamine with the active ingredient meclizine.) You might want to take a trip over the drug store behind Portofino and grab some. It might help you to enjoy more on your trip.

Have a nice trip! Don't be put off simulators just by the Simpsons. The Simpsons is older, seems kind of blurry. The other ones are much clearer (Transformers, Despicable Me, Spiderman). One trick I use is to make sure I come out and sit down for 5 minutes right afterwards, whether I feel ok or not. Helps my brain refocus! I also do that on spinny rides.

PBH is lovely, the pool area as well. I think my kids could have just stayed there and been happy.

Enjoy your day! :goodvibes

Simpsons is the worst for me too. I won't do it again. Don't let that stop you from the other simulator rides though, because they are no where near as bad as the Simpsons.
