Been away a while; need rate info

Hi all...I've strayed from these boards over the past year so I apologize if I seem out of touch.

This site and everyone on these boards were invaluable in planning our last trip (thanks to the great info here we found fabulous deals on air, meals, and our courtyard room at WL). DH and I are toying with the idea of spending our 10th anniversary at WDW (figuring it might be the last time for a while since we're going to try starting a family soon) so naturally I'm back for more help.

AKL wasn't open on our last visit so we'd like to try that. Is there any opportunity for a deal in late September? Other times around that?

Also, I received a postcard offering a $84 rate at moderates for the summer. Would they extend that to fall if I asked (we're also considering Port Orleans since that's where we spent our honeymoon)?

Any suggestions or advice to get me back on track would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome back...they won't extend the codes for different dates. Right now there is nothing available in terms of discounts for September except AP rates. And I can't really tell you what they would be, but that fromwhat I have seen they are about the same as the codes that are out for the summer.

AKL is VERY nice. We stayed there last Spetember forthe weekend and my DH wants to go back and so do the kids! Give it a shot. Late September is a great time and is the end of value season. Regular season begins October 3rd so check in before that date to get better deals.

Keep your eyes on the boards and people will post when public discounts become available for your timeframe.

I forgot one other question too...does the Disney Club still offer good discounts? I joined it before we went last time in order to get the 20% value season rate at WL (the discount garnered me far more in savings than the membership cost me). Would this be another option for a discount?

The Disney Club discount on the AKL for late September would be 15% this year. ~~
