Been able to book MYW package using discount code?

Who has been able to book the MYW package using an email or code received through the mail?

I have some CROs who tell me you can do it, and then there are others who say you can't do it.

I am dying to know this too. I had a CM tell me that if public codes come out I won't be able to apply it to our MYW plus dining package, I am hoping that CM was wrong, REALLY hoping. I have read a few posts by some with email codes who were able to use them with the packages.

Sue Ellen at Dreams Unlimited booked our My Way package with a discount code. So it can be done... as long as the discount you are trying to use isn't a "room only" discount.

I have a pkg booked now using a postcard code. CRO did have different opinions but I aready knew it could be done, so I asked them to check with reservations guest services. Turns out the room only code has another code which must be used for the pkg - not all CM's are aware of this. When they try to put it in as a pkg they get an error message. If you are having difficulty be sure to ask them to check with guest services and/or WDW Travel Co as that is how it needs to be booked. They did give me the pkg code info in case I wanted to book again before July 4th when the code expires. This is the pkg code that goes with the email/postcard room only pin code. Also, without the correct pkg code it prices out higher.

That is exactly what we did through Dreams... Sue Ellen had the code that went for the packages. So we got a great rate for the room with the tickets and meals. We are happy about it.

So are you saying that if they come out with public codes (which will hopefully come out for June) I can call them and have it applied to the package and if they tell me no I should ask them to check and inform them I know it can and has been done? If this is true I am SO excited, maybe we can upgrade to a deluxe resort if codes come out. You have made my night if this is the case.

Not exactly! Every code has different rules, so there is no way to know if future codes will allow a pkg. Also, with this code I could not add on the pkg components to an existing reservation, it had to be a new reservation and the deposit could not be transferred. I had the original deposit refunded and made a new reservation. Still have a 14 day courtesy hold, but when the deposit is due it's $200 with the balance due 45 days out.

CRO was very nice, no arguement involved (which I would not do anyway) or hesitation in checking for me.

When the TA booked my family's Disney vacation a couple of weeks ago, I had a pin code attached to my name. The pin code was for room only. Bev (TA) asked the Disney CM to check and see if there was a pin code for the MYW package. It took the CM awhile but she finally told Bev that there was a code for the package and it was applied to our vacation.

You can even apply the discount code then.

If you have a room only reservation and want to switch to a package you have to start all over from scratch because it's a different code and a totally different type of reservation.

SueEllen from DU handled my reservation also which was a room only and she was able to apply the code the the myw dining package!!!

We have an email code for our upcoming trip and we were told OVER and OVER again that we could NOT book it as a package with dining..........BUT, I kept calling and the one CM really knew her stuff and we ARE able to. So, if you are told no, just keep calling back!
