Any restaurants at Disney serve Beef Wellington? We were watching it on Hell's Kitchen and now we want some!!

I second that!!! I am watchin' the show right now too! I just wonder if anyone can ever cook it right!!!! The Lobster dishes look great and I don't think Disney has much to do with Lobster....does it????

An entree of that caliber might be found at V&A in GF or LeCellier in WS.

If you are that serious about finding that, your best bet may be to do so at of the world. You may also save a few $$ doing so IMO.

I can't ever recall seeing it at WDW- it's one of my fave's though. The only place that might occassionally have it would be V&A.

Beef Wellington is really, sort of a "thing of the past." It's difficult to prepare and very easy to overcook - as we see each week on Hell's Kitchen. I think you have the best chance of finding it on a cruise line, since that's the only market left for what is known as "classic cuisine."

On a side note - the Wellington that is made in Hell's Kitchen is indeed Venison.

Of you can call and request it. Most of the wdw Chef's are rather accomodating and the ingredients to make Beef Wellington are easy to comy by. All you need is Beef Tenderloin, Mushroom Duxelle, Puff Pastry and then make a Bordelaise Sauce.

The good news is, every chef learned to make this dish in culinary school. The bad news is: it's probably the last time they made it as well.

for some reason Yachtsman is ringing a bell in my little brain.... I'm pretty sure we saw it on the menue either there or maybe Artist Point??? It may have been a special??? It was for 2.

Checked my V&A menus from 1988 until now--not on them.
And thinking about it, I can't remember seeing it recently at any of the restaurants we frequent in York or Baltimore.
Sauceboss is probably right--it's an old school dish no longer in favor.

I've never seen it in WDW either.

You still see it on menus this side of the pond, but whenevr I order it I always regret it after, as I find it too rich with the pastry, sauce etc...it takes a long time to digest:sick:

You're probably thinking of Chateaubriand. :thumbsup2
I've never seen Beef Wellington at WDW, only on cruise ships, like the others
have said.

Yes, Yachtsman had Chataubriand for two. BrianRosie is correct.

The nicer buffets (Bellagio, Wynn) in Las Vegas have it, if you want to take a trip!

had it recentlyon a cruise as a pp mentioned. it was GOOD, very well cooked. now i have to wait 9 more months til my next cruise to have it again!

My DH makes a wonderful beef wellington! We are fans of Hell's Kitchen too!

Sorry it is not at WDW.... I think one of the other poster's is right - it is not a dish you find much anymore...

You can get lobster tails at Cap'n Jacks in Downtown Disney. They are expensive, though, and they are not the best. On the plus side, you can get them on the dining plan and it only cost 1 TS credit.
