Hi. We will be in Vero Beach the end of the month. And DH is concerned about being able to watch the football game. So I did some research online and found Beef O' Brady's sports bars. I was wondering if anyone has been to the one in Vero. Is it hard to find? And if you've only been to one of the other locations; Are the wings good? BIL is big into wings. It's a 4pm game, how crowded do sports bar stay? Should he just plan on standing?

Any other recommendations to go for a game in the area? Game will not be on local channels. So we'll need a place with Direct Tv.

Any help appreciated!

Haven't been to the one in Vero, but I've yet to have a hard time finding anything in that town, it's not that big.

As far as the food, I've eaten at a couple of them in the Orlando area, typical chain food--think TGIF or Ruby Tuesdays. Nothing special but not bad by any means.

They just opened a Beef O' Bradys in Sebastian. I think it would be closer to that one than to the one in Vero.

They have school nights for our elementary school at Beefs every month. It's your typical casual sports bar type place. Dh goes there for lunch once in a great while.

There's a Charlie and Jakes in Sebastian, too. They have several televisions that show the different sporting events.

What game is it?

It's the NE Patriots vs the Wash Red skins. I'm assuming it won't be on there, because my dad lives in Ft. Lauderdale and he can hardly ever get the Patriots down there. The New Orleans and San Fran are the other teams scheduled for Fox at the same time. I don't know who will be on. I just need to make alternate arrangements so as to keep everyone happy!:rolleyes1 KWIM?

Thanks for the heads up for the one in Sebastian! I will look up the address for that one so I can take it with me!

I used to live in Palm Bay and went the Beef O' Brady's in Melbourne. I loved their garlic wings. They had decent wings.

Beef O Brady's is in the shopping strip mall with the Publix. It's not hard to find at all (and not far). The way we drive, we actually pass it on the way to the resort.

You should give any place that you are considering a call to make sure they will have Directv NFL Sunday Ticket and the game

Our Beefs, in Palm Bay, has the Sunday ticket. They do get crowded on Sunday though. I would suggest you get there early so you can get a table close enough to the tv you will be watching...

Have fun!!!

I just called the Beef's in Sebastian and they show the Patriots vs. Redskins on Oct. 28th at 4:15 pm. Is that the game you are talking about?

She said they will be showing it. Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone for your help and input! Glad to know the wings are decent.

Thanks Floridafam for calling that was so nice of you. As long as I can send the guys somewhere to watch the game all should be happy!! No ruining of the vacation because of Football!!

Teras75 thanks for the warning about getting there early. I'll forward that along to them!!

You may want to check out FanLoop.com, a site solely dedicated to this type of information. Searching by Patriots or Redskins should show you some additional options. FanLoop.com is intended to link fans from all teams and provide sports bar and fan club info for fans not in their teams home city. Fans can create their own free profile page, link with other fans (and Rivals), post blogs or photos, and find a place to watch the game with other fans. For fans not yet familiar with the neighborhood, there is a zip code radius search with maps so you know which location is closest to you and how to get there. We currently only have NFL data but are quickly working on college info. We hope you check us out.

The Green Cabin Room has at least two TVs. When we visit during football season they always have two different games on.
We are big Pats fans, and have watched them in the GCR. Of course I have no idea what the local broadcasts will be on the 28th. :smokin:

Where is the Green Cabin Room? Is it upstairs in the main building where the pub is? Probably a silly question I know. this is only my second trip to the resort so not sure on all the locations!

Yes, the GCR is the name of the lounge on the second floor of the Inn. It's a great bar, and hey also have outdoor seating that overlooks the ocean (no TVs outside).

Sorry, I missed the part where you said the game isn't on local stations. I'm not sure if the GCR has any sort of football package. :smokin:
