I really like beef jerky. Its high protein, low fat and I think its a greta snack.

Anyway, I'm looking for a new recipe to make my own because its so much cheaper and I like the different flavours you can make.

Does anyone have any recipes that they really like?

I found this site http://www.alljerky.com/wwwboard/jerky_recipes_2000.html

But I think I will skip the alligator jerky

My DH makes his own deer jerky. I will have to wait until he gets home from work tonight to see what kind of a recipe he uses.

I do know that the jerky is good, because he has requests from people all over the place, including his clients. They can't wait until he makes his yearly batch! :teeth:

I use to make my own beef jerky. I used brisket and sliced it paper thin. It helps if it is slightly frozen when you slice it. I would use a mixture of Dale's Seasoning (about a cup), a bottle of liquid smoke and a little Montreal Steak Seasoning or pepper. Since the meat is sliced thin, it only needs to marinate for about 5 or 10 minutes.
