Caould anyone tell me which resorts have softer beds? Also looking for a resort that we can go out and sit on a beach with sand and relax. One last thing....what resorts can you sleep 5 or 6 and not be extremely high in cost? Thanks?

We have stayed at CBR, WL, AKL, BC, Poly, & GF and while I have not had a bad night's sleep at any of those resorts, the Poly and GF have the most comfortable beds to me.

As far as resort occupancy, all of the deluxe resorts (with the exception of WL and AKL) accommodate 5 + 1 under 3, so if there are 6 people but one of them is under age 3, any of the monorail resorts or Epcot resorts would work. However, those would be your most expensive options, rather than least expensive. The cheapest option for 5 people in one room would be POR Alligator Bayou with 2 queen beds and a murphy bed. For 6 people with no one under age 3, your options would be 2 rooms at any resort, FW cabins, a deluxe room at WL or BWI, or a DVC 2 bedroom villa.

I've stayed at all of the moderate and deluxe resorts (regular resorts not DVC ones). I really like the beds at the GF and the Poly wasn't bad either. The other ones don't stand out in my mind but for some reason I remember most of the moderates having fairly firm beds compared to what we have at home.

What ages are in your group of 5 or 6? The ages would make a difference as to which resort I would recommend. 5 people will be much more easier to find a single room for -- 6 gets difficult and expensive.

OP, I have the same concern. We had a wonderful short trip this past Feb and stayed at POP. Even though the trip and hotel was fun, the beds were uncomfortable. And not because of the size (double). There was only two of us so we each had our own bed. My son didn't mind but it was very hard to me. I am looking at upgrading to either a mod or deluxe on our next trip but wouldn't be able to afford any of the monorail resorts. I was thinking WL but now I read a thread of people complaining about the beds at WL. If I am going to pay that kind of money I want a comfortable bed. The beds kept me up at night at POP except when I was extremely exhausted. It seemed like I was constantly tossing and turning trying to find a comfortable spot.:confused3

You know I don't think that the Bed itself was that uncomfortable as the pillow. My neck always felt so stiff as I have bone problems so the only way for me to be comfortable is to take my own softer with me, but since we had to fly, that was not allowed. Someone told me that if you go down to ask them at housekeeping/front desk, they may have had softer problems, not sure! Then again, I am considering taking my own suitcase (2 allowed par person free of charge) with just our pillows and then I would have my pillows and the girls will also be comfortable!

I've never had a problem with the beds at the deluxes. They are not super soft, but they are not hard either.

The nicest beaches will be the most expensive resorts...Grand Floridian, Poly, Beach Club/Yacht Club. There are others I'm sure. I believe you can put your tosies in the sand at WL, too.

5 or 6 without being extremely costly? I don't know. It depends on how you define "high in cost". You can always go with a room that has two queens and a daybed (most deluxes).

What about the cabins? Not sure if you can find beach sand there, maybe someone else will chime in on that.

My personal recommendation: Beach Club.

:)
