I know that we'll have two double beds. Traveling is myself, DH, DS (9) and DD(3)....I don't think the kids will sleep in the same one, so that will leave me sleeping with DD. The trouble is DS is a big guy who moves alot in his sleep, and I'm worried there won't be enough room in the bed for the him and dad!

Wondering if I should rent a toddler bed for DD? I think I read about somewhere called Baby's Best Friend that rents them? Anyone have any thoughts? :goodvibes

We have three children. None of them will sleep together. We bought our daughter a blow up princess bed from Costco. It is small and fits in a backpack. My 9 year old will sleep on it! Well he starts on it then winds up on the floor. I bet you could pick one up for less than 30.oo. It works for us. Our kids are 16, 9 and 3. So my 16 yr old sleeps alone the three year old sleeps with us and the 9 yr old sleeps on the princess bed/floor. We stayed at POR he also slept on the trundle bed there..well trundle bed/ floor.
Hope that helps,
Deanna
P.S Sometimes the kids will fight over who gets the princess bed. Our daughter regularly winds up in our bed at home

I really appreciate the reply! My DD usually ends up in bed with us too, but we have a king size bed so there's a little wiggle room ;)

I'll look into that idea for sure, thanks again :flower3:

DD3 sleeps with us at home as we have a King size bed. We stayed one night at ASMo in December and we all slept in one double bed. It was tight of course, but not uncomfortable. I felt so relieved the next night when we checked in at AKL. We slept like logs through the night until the construction noise woke up DD at 7am.:headache:

Thanks, it's a relief to know that it won't be unbearable if we do have to share!:goodvibes

We have stayed at ASMO twice before and this coming up trip we are going to bring an inflatable bed for DS13. DH will sleep on one bed and DS5 and I will sleep on the other. I always make sure to request the bed railings because DS would end up on the floor without them.:goodvibes
:cheer2:

My solution? Get a twin air mattress, have your nine year old sleep on that on the floor and he can move around all he wants. Your daughter is on one bed by herself and you and your husband have the other one.

When I was a kid, I moved around a lot in bed too. I was much more comfortable not having anyone in the bed with me so I didn't have to worry about bothering them. Everyone will sleep better if your son has room to move.

A twin air bed will fit nicely on the floor between the two beds. Just be sure to stand it up somewhere in the morning so it's not in the mousekeepers way.

I agree - take air mattresses. They'll be so tired anyway that they'll fall alseep in the car or bus on the way back to the hotel at night so it won't really matter what bed they sleep in. Have a great trip!:thumbsup2

The air mattress is really is a great suggestion, but I live on a tiny island in the Caribbean and there are no air mattresses to be found :lmao:

Plus, we're moving home to Nova Scotia...this trip is a pit stop along the way! I think I will look into renting a toddler bed, I think when I read about them they weren't much, I was just hoping someone had rented from Baby's Best Friend before. Thanks so much for your help guys, Disers are the BEST :flower3:
