We are in the process of booking a last-minute reservation for this weekend. AoA has some great rates for our dates, but we are concerned about the beds there. We stayed there a few years ago and the beds in our room were the hardest beds we have ever slept on. Our backs ached! We have stayed at all resort categories over the years and are familiar with the beds in the refurbished rooms. How are the beds in AoA now?

Thanks for any input. :)

I stayed in a little mermaid room in May this year and the beds were fine to me, not hard at all.

We stayed there for 3 nights 6/14-6/17 and the beds seemed very firm but didn't cause our backs to ache.

I find the beds there to be firm, but not awful. Not exactly comfortable, but not pain inducing.

I thought the bed was uncomfortably hard and the full size was just way too small for me and my bf. I'm not a stick figure but still just not enough room. I'll pick Pop or Movies over LM rooms right now.

I was just there this weekend and found them extremely uncomfortable. Would echo the preference for Pop or Movies.

And this would be a positive for DW and I, since we both dislike pillow top beds and find them to soft. But we do not like a full size mattress so we prefer POP since they have queens and soon ASMO.

Just an FYI, if you find the beds too firm, mousekeeping will put a foam egg-crate style mattress topper on the bed for you. I never knew they could do this until about a year ago when someone posted they were able to get one at ASMusic for the sofa bed in their suite. I find the bed in the master bedroom of the AoA suites to be hard as a rock. I actually felt bruised after sleeping in that bed for one night. I usually made my own mattress topper out of extra blankets. Last summer I asked mousekeeping for our bed at AoA and they happily brought one to the room and put it on the bed for us.
