Going on my first DCL this summer. My cousins and I are sharing a Deluxe Oceanview with Verandah on the Fantasy. There will be 3 adults in my room ages 22 (4'10), 28 (6'4), and 29 (5'4). As the oldest, I'd love to take the big bed, but with his height... 6'4 won't fit on that bottom couch bed will he? The top would make sense for the tiny younger one. In pictures, the couch and pull down look very short. Perfect for the shortys, however, selfish me would love the big bed - only if he doesn't fit comfortably on the other beds.

Just wondering what other people have experienced.

All the beds are standard size bed. The sofa bed, bunk bed, and Murphy bed (if you have one) are all standard twin size. Will he fit on a standard twin at home? Then he will on the ship.

My DD is 5'10" and always complains that the sofa bed is too short for her to sleep comfortably. My other DD is 5'6" and she fits in the bunk with no problem. Another consideration is the weight limit on the bunk which is 250 lbs

They change the sheets every night. I say you all rotate and each take a turn in the big bed.

Remember the couch and the bunk may be twins, but the bed is a queen, which is about 6" longer than a twin. Your tall cousin may be eyeing it for that reason. No chance for anyone sharing the bed?

I would make sure that the room you are in has the bunk. Some of the rooms only sleep 3 (queen and sofa) and being a party of 3 you could be in one of those rooms.

That top bunk shouldn't be an issue because the little one loses automatically being the youngest. lol! But the tall one and I will be fighting over the big bed. But I will give it up if he's too long.

Only 1 report for that room for Dream/Fantasy and can't tell if it sleeps 3 or 4. I would call DCL and check.

I can sleep with the tiny one and be fine, but then we'd have the big bed and he'd still be dealing with if he can fit on the twin. So, yeah, I'll look into that

Be sure to alert your SR host that you would like all 3 beds prepped each night. Being 3 adults, it could be assumed that two share the bed and one takes the couch.

I'm not sure about this. I thought I read that on our upcoming 14-night cruise we will have our sheets changed after one week.

And in my experience, very tall people often curl up to sleep.

Unfortunately, sometimes phone CMs do not have info about the number or type of beds, just how many total the room sleeps. This list was compiled by a DISer: http://www.disboards.com/threads/dc...pdated-list-of-rooms-needed-1st-post.3194826/ It also indicates 6526 sleeps 4 and has the bunk bed.

As to who gets which bed -- ask your cousin if he can sleep in a regular twin sized bed. If yes, then rotate. If no, maybe he'll buy you a couple of drinks for giving up the big bed. Enjoy your cruise!
