bedazzler on tshirt

I was wondering if someone could give me some hints on how to work a bedazzler. I did a transfer the other day of a crown with the princesses in front and I wanted to put some bling on the crown as I think my daughter would love that. I just bought the bedazzler and wanted to try it for this project. I kept trying to use it, but it just kept seeming like the jewels kept falling out before I could push them into the fabric. If anyone knows what I am doing wrong I would really appreciate some help.

I have one of those contraptions and cant get it to work well. I kept having the jewels bend where they shouldn't and then they did not look good. If anyone can help us out that would be great. I went ahead and used the ones you iron on. But I would like to use the bedazzler since I paid good money for it.
