:smooth: This may seem like a trivial ? but I am curious has to how often the bed spreads are washed in the hotel rooms? Do they wash them every time someone checks out? Thanks for the info. :flower:

I wish! They get washed about once a month.

This really makes me feel creepy, although Disney's practice is standard for the hotel industry. Last night I read an article that bedbugs are making a comeback in the USA. I immediately did an Internet search using the keywords bedbugs and Disney. The only mention of a problem at Disney was a 2003 report on Trip Advisor. Someone claimed that they had a problem at All Star Sports.

Signs of a bedbug infestation are small brown or black stains on the bedsheets (dried blood) and a strong sweet smell in the room. Thankfully I have no firsthand knowledge of the issue.

Yup, just heard on the news of a couple on a cruise ship (Carnival, I think), completely infested with bedbugs. I guess Disney should take the extra step of washing all bedding if it's becoming so prevalent. :crazy2:

Anywhere we travel, I expect my room to be clean top to bottom as well as the linens, beadspreads, not just at Disney. If it bothered me so much as to go to the bother of washing my own sheets & comforter, I think instead I'd bring a couple sets of allergen proof sheets and pillow cases with us instead. Why waste valuable Disney time in the laundry room?

But Boy, Just thinking about all the "stuff" that sifts down into the bed itself, at any hotel, is enough to give you the creeps and rethink the purchase of a nice, new, camper. Hmmm... ... -but- I hate traveling by car, so I guess I'll just live with the bonus Disney "magic". :rotfl:

BTW - Remember the threadof over-the-top request notes? How about one that starts off with "Dear Disney, During myfamily's stay on your resort property, we will require a brand new room, complete with new sheets, pillows, towels, bedspreads .... all in sealed original packaging. Oh, and omit the carpeting as that tends to hold dust and oders even if new...
