Bed Rails at DLH? Also, which strollers are available to rent?

Hi everyone! We are going on our first trip to Disneyland as a family ( I was there last almost 20 years ago!). We are staying at the DLH and I am wondering if they have bed rails we can use there or should I bring my own (we are driving down)? The last time we stayed in a hotel my 4 year old fell out of the bed at night, and I dont want that happening again!

Also, what do the strollers look like that you can rent there? Is there a brand name I can look up? I am debating if I want to rent a double stroller or not (our double stroller is too big per the guidelines) or just bring our single stroller which is more compact....

Thanks so much everyone. I am so thankful I found you guys!

You can't rent double strollers at DLR, just single. The strollers are made by Baby Jogger and they are a rental-stroller version of the stroller we own which is the City Mini. I don't think the rental ones recline. I didn't get any pictures of DS in the rental stroller so I can't post a picture but maybe someone else has one they can post.

Oh darn it! No double strollers? Eeeekkkkk OK I for sure dont need to rent a single stroller I have one of those. Maybe I can borrow a smaller double from a friend, or just use my single stroller.

Thanks so much!

I really wouldn't take the stroller thing seriously. I've seen HumVees of strollers there. It's just that you'll have to go through a special gate, which will require waiting a minute (maybe more than that when leaving at night, for a CM to get over there) at big gates, if it's too big to go in the wheeled conveyance (LOL...wheelchair, ECV, stroller) gates.

We take our double jogging stroller to DLR when we go. The only time we have a problem is when we go into DCA. The stroller fits fine through the wheelchair entrance at DL, but we have to wait at the flood gate over on the right side of DCA because the stroller is too wide for the wheelchair entrance. You just go to the turnstyles at DCA and they scan your tickets and then you have to go wait at the floodgate while they call someone to come and unlock it. It has only taken another minute or 2, except for one time a couple of years ago, it took close to five minutes. :confused3 It seems they had trouble getting a supervisor over to open the gate???

We didn't have any trouble gate checking our stroller either, when we flew. It folds up (just not very small) and it worked out fine.

Yes, the DLH has bedrails...I've used them for my youngest each time that we've stayed there. Just call housekeeping and they'll bring them right up :)

Thank you so much everyone! :) Yes I have a double jogging stroller too, I guess I will just bring it. I just hate to not have someplace for my daughter to sit if she gets tired.

As far as the bed rails :cool1: thank you so much! That will be the first call I make at the DLH!

Now I only have what 3 months to wait for my trip..... pirate:

When are you going?? We'll be there in just about 3 months too! :cheer2:

Now that is funny! :)

How old is your child/children? I have a daughter who is going to be almost 5 (we are going for her b-day) and a son who will be a little over a year and a half. :beach:

My Son will be 25 months and my daughter will be 11 1/2 months :) We will also have a 1 yr old and an almost 3 yr old in our group :)
