Anyone come across these in their room at any on or off site hotels in Disneyland Paris?
I've been reading quite a few trip reports lately - yes the majority of these are on trip advisor and I know what trip advisor can be like for the horror stories and just general moaners out there but still...........
It freaks me out to think I could be sharing a bed with bugs! :scared1:

Just thought i'd ask here to see if anyone here had ever come across these while staying in disney??

I can imagine what i'll be like next time I visit ANY hotel....the bed will be stripped as soon as I gain entry!

Just back from five nights in Cheyenne - we had three rooms between us and all were spotless. They were all cleaned every day, towels changed, beds made etc. No sign of any bugs!

Been 7 times and currently planning 8th. Never had any cleanliness problems whatsoever, at anywhere we've stayed.

I don't think I know what a bedbug even looks like :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Delete trip advisor from your mind, and your favourites :lmao:

nope, 10 trips under our belts, 8 hotels in and around DLP, no bedbugs.

I think I really need to do that ! I'm getting worse reading that place - Not good! :rotfl:

Well if you have read my post of about 15 days ago you know that Tripadvisor sent me mad with a very bad review about a website i had used to book the Dream Castle Hotel and that i had not used before.
I was so scared i had lost 360 euros and had no booking - they said quite a few had got to their booked place just to discover no booking was at their name - i cancelled it straight away. Well money were sent back in three days when the average was 7 working days and the GM of this booking website - who replied to the post on TA - said the one who had started the thread had eventually asked him money to stop it going.
Well i still don't know if it was a scam or not but anyway i have had my money back and booked with another travel agency - a better known one.

You can get bed bugs anywhere, a good friend brought them back to her home in Paris from a very select hotel in Biarritz, so i wouldn't be suprised if people had had them in the Disney hotels.

We always check every hotel bed nowadays before unpacking and don't ever put a bag on the beds before looking as this is how they mainly travel from the room to your home :scared1:

In my 14 stays in the hotels I have yet to come across any bed bugs. A big spider on the wall yes:scared1: but no bed bugs

After reading here earlier http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2456161 I think i'll be checking every hotel I stay in from now on. I didn't even realise how easy it is to bring them back with you in your case or on your clothing and infect your own home until I read that. It's really quite scary :scared1:

I remember reading your post - I'd have been the same as you. Glad to hear you got your money back in the end and you've now put your mind at rest by booking with a better known travel agency. Sometimes reading tripadvisor can be a good thing...but on the other hand it can also worry you like crazy after reading some of the stuff on it!

Eeek - I shouldn't have read this thread! This is going to send my OCD off the wall on our next visit, despite the fact that I ALWAYS check for bedbugs, I am now going to be preventing Hubby and DD from entering the room and stick sanitary towels to the sides of the bed (read that American thread above!:lmao:)!!!

Do make sure you get the hubby to go wave the sanitary towel around at reception if you find any!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Best way to get an upgrade though :lmao: You imagine the scene at reception there when an English guy comes waving a ST at them :rotfl: I bet you'd get a suite just to get rid of you :rotfl2:

If I thought it would get me the Sleeping Beauty suite at DLH - i'd be sending him down with a whole host of sanitary towels stuck to his head!!! :lmao:

Loving this thread :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:! Must remember the STs for my next trip .
