I read something about this at somepoint, but I am asking anyway.
We have 2 rooms booked for our cruise, and in one of the rooms we want it set up as 3 beds and not as a queen and 1 bed. I was expecting that to be a question at check in, but it wasn't. does that get done at port or do I need to call DCL?

You don't say which ship you are on. On the Wonder and Magic, the big bed can be separated into 2 twins, and your third bed can be the flipped couch or the pull down bunk....or you can keep the big bed and do both the couch flip and the pull down.

On the Dream, the big bed does not split--thus the only way to get 3 separate beds (at least in most cabins) is to do the big bed + flip + pull down.

You just tell your stateroom host how you want things set up and he/she will take care of it at turndown time.

sorry, we are one the magic in 3 weeks :dance3:

You can also call ahead and have that it noted on your reservation that you want the bed split. I did that on my Alaskan cruise last August and the bed was already split when my Mom and I entered the cabin.

If it's a queen bed when you get to your stateroom, you can ask your room steward to split it and it will be done before you go to bed that night.
