Becoming a Cast Member?

Hi
I'm a student from Mississauga, ON, Canada. I was wondering how do you become a cast memeber at Walt Disney world. I love disney world so so much and would LOVE to work for them. I know almost anything about the park. lol I've heard people talk about in the treads but no detailed information. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP. lol. I want to try at work at Disney world next summer but I dunno how to apply or anything. PLEASE HELP.

Disney has a great international and college program that allows Canadians to work at the Canadian Pavillion in EPCOT. I did this in '91 and had an amazing time and highly recommed it! I believe you must be 18 or older. You can get more info from Disney casting. I beleive they have a website contected to The main Disney web site. YOu are hired for a contracted period of time. It use to be 6 Months to a year. You live with other people from world showcase in condo type housing. YOu make friends from everywhere. It is a wonderful learning experience! I'm not sure how much has changed, you'll have to contact them to learn all the details! Good Luck!

You can also apply to work on the Disney Cruise lines from the people who do the Canadian hiring for Disneyworld. http://www.cast-a-way.com is the link to find out more about working on the cruise or in the parks. I was intrested in going and doing the cruise ship as a CM last year after working in the stores as a CM for 7 years. Eric who came in from Montreal was great in getting everyone prepared. However being on a cruise for a year away from my DH would have been to hard so I decided to stay home

You should PM Evil Queen as well. She just left and is at Disney World right now working as a CM at the Canadian Pavillion

Hi Becky...

I am indeed down at WDW right now working at the Cdn Pavilion. I applied through Cast-A-Way. They are the people that do the prescreening for WDW so definately check out their website. I'm doing the one yr international program. There was an option for Cdns to do the summer international college program this year, but I don't know if it's back for good or they just did it because of the Happiest Celebration on Earth. If you want to do the yr program, I'd probably apply soon. Interviews in the fall usually happen sometime in October. If it stays the way it did last year, the interviews will be out west in Vancouver and Calgary. The spring interviews this year were in Toronto, Montreal and Halifax. The interviews for the summer program this year happened during the middle of May. And definately check out www.wdwip.com like someone said. It's a really good source of info.
