So the Disney website and allears still say the Fantasmic dining package includes "VIP seating voucher" (Disney) and "reserved seating" (allears)- however, Birnbaum's 2013 guide says the package no longer includes guaranteed seating.

Which is correct?? What's the point of the package if seating isn't guaranteed?:confused3

I did, and that's why I was confused.. I assume the Disney website is updated more than the books are, but I was hoping maybe someone knew more because of a recent visit? I have quite a while to figure it out ( ) but I saw that today & my knee jerk reaction was to ask you guys. :)

I'd say the WDW site is correct. Otherwise the dinner package would be useless.
Maybe the book meant to say it is not an assigned seat. But, is first come first-come first-served.
We actually did this package. Got to Fantasmic and found better seats on our own.

Now that's awesome input! Makes me wonder if I should bother with the package at all. I guess what you're "really" paying for is the guaranteed seat?

We did the package our first trip to DW. The show got rained out (thunderstorms) and we lost that priority seating. We got to go back to another show, at least, but I wouldn't do a dining package again.

Darn it. I can't decide. I'm thinking we're going to have to eat before the show anyway- so why not??

We have a package booked for our May trip. We are eating at Mama Melrose. Good luck deciding.

Not till December. Yeah, I'm really thinking ahead on this one. :rotfl2:

Maybe it's because I'm starving, but those look good!!

I wonder if that is something they will continue?

Sad news. Just wanted to tell you I won't be able to get a review for you. Had to cancel all our adrs. Our kid free anniversary trip is now a family trip. With all the littles coming it will be cheaper to get CS only. Hope you have a fun dinner.
