Bec & Chris - Wishes Wedding 03/01/11 WP/WHR/SCP - Some extra pics and **COMPLETE**

ACK! Thanks for posting your to-do list, we leave Friday morning and I don't have any of those moisture wipe things! Please excuse me while I frantically run to the nearest drugstore....obviously you will be better prepared than I am! :scared1:

lol, I was actually talking about those sachets that remove moisture from boxes/bags etc. I too have forgotten to get those hand wipes!! :lmao:

I'm planning on buying some things when we get to Orlando, so I'll put those on that list...

We got a couple of wedding gifts today, one gift was from Chris' Aunty, they went over to the US last year, and so they've given us their left over US currency :woohoo: About $90! It's made up of $20s, $5s and $1s, which is so handy because it means we wont have to worry about getting cash out, and turning it into change when we get there.

The other was from a work collegue, I won't say what it is just yet, because I want to post a pic of it, but I love it! I'll try and post a pic this arvo.

I also picked up gifts for 2 of the groomsmen, we got them engraved flasks, which I'll also try and get photos of, and the Best man is getting an RM Williams belt with his name on the back. The other's already have those belts, so we're going to get them to wear them on the day for some photos. I've already got the belt, but it's in the process of getting the name stamped on it, hopefully it won't take long, we leave in just over a week :eek:

As promised, here is the gift from my colleague;

She made it after I pointed the pattern out at a local store, I love it! Now I've got to work out where to put it...

BEC!! Youre getting so close!! Im so excited for you, I cant believe so much time has passed already. You really seem to have it all together..kudos to you!! Cant wait to read more!!

That's a great idea! But no, I think I'll leave it at home, it would be too likely to break on either the flight there or back. Having said that though, that's a great idea for the At Home Reception :idea:

I picked up my wedding dress today! I still love it so much, but my god it's hot!! :lmao: I also managed to cram it into my carry on bag, it was a struggle, but it shut!! :woohoo: I've hung it back up for now with a sheet around it, and when the day comes I'll put it back into it's dress bag, roll it up and cram it back in there again. Then when we arrive at Disney World I'll get it out and hang it up in mum and dad's room. Ready for steaming! :goodvibes

You want to know how crazy close this is getting?? DF's mum and step dad flew to the States this afternoon :scared1: They're travelling around for a bit first, California, Nevada, Texas, Louisianna, and then I think Florida, but they're actually on their way!!! :eek:

I remember years ago (it probably wasn't that long ago, but it feels it) I was following along with another Dis Bride's PJ and she said that she couldn't believe people were on route to her wedding, and I remember thinking, "wow, that's crazy! I can't imagine what that feels like!" And now I know! It's completely surreal!! :rotfl:

After thinking that I'd had the last of the crazy wedding dreams, as I hadn't had one in months, I had another one last night :laughing: It was terrible!

Morning of the wedding, I realised that I hadn't organised any music for anything... So I remember running to my hotel room and working like crazy to get some songs together, but stuff kept going wrong with my computer, and I couldn't get anything to work, and all my bridesmaids were doing was standing looking over my shoulder. So I had to yell at them to hurry up and get ready.

Next thing I know, all my bridesmaids come in wearing random dresses, only one of them is wearing the dress I picked out, but she had it altered into an off the shoulder number, but the parts that went around her arms kept falling down, and I remember thinking "trampy!" So I yelled at the 2 wearing the wrong dresses that they had to get into the right ones, and it wasn't until we were all going down the aisle, that I find they've all had them altered weirdly... :confused3

Then - and this is where it got really weird - we were outside (not sure what we were doing) and a bull gets loose and starts terrorizing and attacking my guests :lmao:

And then because everything had gone horribly wrong, DF and I got extremely hammered, and the dream ended with me slurring to DF what we were going to do at Animal Kingdom the next day :lmao:

So, today I got up and organised my playlists :rotfl: can't really do anything about rampaging bulls, and hey I'm not a drinker, but it's my wedding so if I want to get sloshed, then so be it!! :laughing:

Wedding dreams really help focus my mind...

/
:rotfl2: Your dream sounds like ones that I have...haha!!

And that's such a thoughtful gift! I love it!!!

I know! The fact that we fly out in 1 week and 1 day makes it feel stupidly close!!! :eek:

I can't wait though... :rolleyes1

Including today - 5 more work days... :yay:

Yay! you are getting so close.

Hope the crazy dreams stop. I haven't had that one but I have had lots very similar.

So I tried on this dress too..and realized that it was the same exact one that I loved at Alfred Angleo, except that the threading seemed a little more golden (and the AA one was more silver)...and that's the dress I got at AA!!

I love your PJ and have subscribed!!

I don't mind them, they seem to remind me about what I need to do :laughing:

It is a gorgeous dress! I tried it on first, and everyone was convinced that I needn't try on another, it was perfect, but it just wasn't exactly what I was looking for, so I kept trying more on. Actually almost every new dress I tried on the people with me told me it was now "The One". I had to go back myself to make up my own mind in the end...

***

I've finished getting all the groomsmen gifts, so that's another thing I can check off.

I think I still need to sign the BEO and send it back in... I probably should have done that already, but DF has been away, so there's been no chance of both of us signing it.

I've finished my welcome booklets, but I wanted to add a few salon details to some of them - for the girls who aren't part of the wedding party, but might like to get their hair and makeup done for the wedding. That will be hand written in though, so that's easy.

I also need to call the hotel we're staying at near LAX the first night we arrive to confirm some details.

I need to receive and print out details/itinerary for the honeymoon.

I need to assign wedding day jobs - the most important being the MC :rolleyes1 really should have done that already... :rotfl:

Everything else is more or less not wedding related. I want to clean the house thoroughly and heavily mulch the gardens before we go, you know, that sort of stuff... :confused3

Then... There's the stuff to do once we arrive;

  • Get boxes for the wedding stuff
  • Deliver the wedding stuff to Francks
  • Set up our mobile phones
  • Set up internet usage
  • Get water and some snacks
  • Buy boxes/tupperware containers for Dessert Party left overs
  • Get my final manicure and pedicure
  • Deliver welcome bags Haven't worked out the logistics of this yet...
  • Buy some lint rolly things
  • Call vendors with room number
  • Buy coat hangers (Because I hate packing them)

Here's hoping I've remembered everything... I don't really want to be adding anything new to any of my lists :laughing:

I've got 2 more hours left of today, then only 2 more days of work!! :cheer2:

How exciting to be so close! Enjoy the remaining days leading up to your big day and have a great time at Disney! The time really does fly by so quickly and it is sometimes hard to step back and enjoy everything. :bride:

The lists only continue to grow as you get closer to the big day! Don't worry though, it sounds like you have most everything under control.

:dance3::cheer2::dance3:

I am so happy for you, if I don't catch you before you leave, have a wonderful time! I am sure that everything will run smoothly, because you have planned everything so well.

Congratulations!
