Well I just got home from our local high school's performance of Beauty & the Beast. I must say I was very impressed. The girl who played Belle was amazing. She sang very well and played the part perfectly. Lots of little girls there and they even did autographs after the show. Has anyone else seen this musical performed at high school level? If so, how was it? If not, suggest it!!

Our HS did it this year, the show was 2 weekends ago. My daughters both said it was good. they said the most difficult part was the Beasts costume and make-up.

We did it as our spring musical. It was amazing! I loved it! It was the best musical our school has EVER done. And thats not my opinion. The teacher that has done it for years said that that was by far the best ever. A lot of our best performers are seniors, so they will be gone next year, unfortunatly. This year, they had two weekends of performances (Fri, Sat, Sun, and Sat, Sun). They usually only have one weekend (Fri, Sat, and Sun). This year was the first year that they have ever had a sold out performance. The last Sunday, they had to put the sold out sign on the door, which had never been used before. LOL. I saw a little girl there wearing one of those Cinderella dresses that little girls wear in the parks. They always have the characters come out and sign things. I usually stick around to tell my friends how much I loved the play and how amazing it was, but I trucked it out of there because I knew it would be VERY crowded and crazy.

A local high school did it here and even put on a breakfast brunch for kids to see the show and meet the characters after a meal. I called for tickets for my kids, but they wouldn't do a "will call" and I couldn't go down to the high school to pick up the tickets during work hours so we didn't end up going. :guilty:

OOOOOO I forgot about that! Our school did a character breakfast for the kids, too!
