I saw a video of a couple saying that the B&B show at MGM is closing and will be replaced by Tangled. Is there truth to this rumor? :confused3

I wish they would bring the Aladdin show from California Adventure. It was such a good show and with it opening on Broadway it just makes sense. But anything different for Hollywood Studios would be welcomed.

I like tangled but I don't think this is true is anything Aladdin would make sense or Frozen but I don't think it would be Frozen yet either.

This rumor has been around for a while, I have seen references to it as far back as late 2011. Don't know if there is any truth to it.

Don't know about the validity of the rumor(s), but I'd say B&Beast is still vastly more popular than Tangled or even Frozen* - there's a reason it was the theme for a new mountain/castle in the new Fantasy Land. And with the comparatively low offerings of Hollywood Studios, it makes sense to continue piggy backing on B&B.

*And as another poster mentioned, they likely couldn't/wouldn't do Frozen on stage in a park while simultaneously doing it on Broadway.

We went to the show back in 2010 because it was rumored to be closing...so this rumor is nothing new... :)

The sets and effects in the DCA Aladdin show require a theater with a large stage and backstage. DHS (or WDW for that matter) has no such theater, except for the Cirque du Soliel theater at DTD.

The amphitheater at DHS is perfect for the B&TB show, and this show still packs the guests in. I don't see this show going away anytime in the next several years.

When I googled it It had rumors of closing every year but when I heard this couple on youtube saying they were told it's closing so they went to see it I thought maybe this time it was true? I was hoping we'd get to see it next month when we go.
