Beauty and the Beast on DVD?

Is there any truth to this? I have not seen anything on the boards and was curious. I heard about it on Rick Dees (Weekly Top 40) of all places! He was talking about Ms. Dion going into the studio to record for it.

It will be the second of the Platinum releases (Snow White was the first). It will be released October 8th. You can already pre-order it from Amazon.

I believe it will be Lion King Next and then eventually Alladin...right?

Don't know, but Aladdin came out before Lion King, so by all rights, it should come out on DVD 1st. One can only hope!!!

But Lion King will be on IMAX 01/01/03 so the DVD should follow in October of 2003.

I don't have any info on the DVD, but this sounds very reasonable. In fact, I'd be very surprised if LK were not next, given the IMAX release. Wouldn't make much sense to do it otherwise.
