We are finally home. We had a great time, but it was truly a once in a lifetime trip. The thought of trying to do it all over again exhausts me. We had a magical time, but I'm seriously worn out.
I'm currently downloading an organizing photos from the trip while we catch up on our DVR photos. I think I'm sitting at about 2800 photos to organize -- that's from my iPhone, my bigger p&s, the p&s that Kiah carried, and Photopass at Disney. I realized too late that I could have gotten all our Universal photos for $60. They should do a better job of explaining all that.... and have their photographers out in more places and wearing more recognizable costumes. Anyway, no family shots from Universal but I took a lot of photos to make up for it. We took photos of every meal we ate (even Subway) and I kept all our receipts and papers.
Tomorrow I need to do a couple of scrapbook layouts for a designer and then Tuesday I plan to start working on my scrapbook. Part of that scrapbook will be our trip report (I think) so I'll probably try to start writing it up that day. I have this vague idea for a fairly broad, general trip report that will be one page in my album, and then all these little side stories that get tuck into pockets in my album. So I may do my broad entry here, then share the photos and stories the next day in a separate post. We'll see what comes out of me when I'm ready to create...
