we will be in disney next weekend. would it be best for dh to just stay in the room and watch the game or will the game be on all around disney. i know he could go to espn, i was just wondering if there were any other options.

There are no televisions in the restaurants inside the parks so if he wants to watch the game he'll have to visit ESPN, stay in the room, or possibly in the bar in Planet Hollywood or House of Blues.

It would be for my DH !! . . . but he is Chicago born and bred - and God help anyone who would disturb one minute of his crazed "enjoyment" of next week's game !!!:happytv: I would have to warn the people in adjacent rooms that no one is being killed in our room that day (maybe hang a "BEARS FAN IN ACTION" sign on the door) - I'm sure there would be a lot of yelling and screaming going on! GO BEARS !!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Honestly, as a football fan (although every team I wanted to win over the weekend folded like a house of cards), if there is a game I'd REALLY want to see, I'd get a six pack, a bucket of ice, and sit in my room to watch it. Bathroom is right there, you don't have to listen to some obnoxious guy rooting for the opposition, you can control the volume, and most importantly, you can turn off the coverage right away if your team loses.

thanks everyone. i think i'll just tell him to stay in the room.
i know the colts are playing next weekend too, but we are northern indiana, which makes us bear fans, not colt fans.

If you're a Bears fan, I'd definitely skip the game. The Saints are gonna put a whoopin on 'em and it'll just ruin the rest of your trip.

:rolleyes1

Geaux Saints!

Watch it in public place so you can cheer in front of all of the upset Saints fans. Bear Down!!

Sorry, but it was funny....well it was a little funny!!;)

Seriously though, I understand. We're big Nascar fans, but I do live when I miss a race, my DH is a different story. Last Oct. he had a fit cause our Disney vacation ended on a Sunday and we were driving home, needless to say he found it on the radio and that is what we listened to the whole drive!!:)

Now, see, my husband is a REAL Bear's fan. When we booked the trip in November and I initially wanted to leave on the day of the Super Bowl he said, "Um.. no. That's the Super Bowl and if the Bears are in it I am NOT traveling that day." So, we're leaving the day after.

I say let hubby hang in the room and meet up after the game. He's bound to be in a great mood after the Bears spank those sad little Saints.

thanks (i think) for all the responses.
what you saint fans don't realize is that your guys are going to have to leave their nice warm dome and come up to our house, and play football where football was meant to be played...late in the 4th quarter when we're way ahead, and then the snow starts flying........now that's football

DH and I were in WDW during the PATS/ packers superbowl in '97. Although, the results weren't what we were hoping for, and we were outnumbered 3 to 1 by packers fans, we had a great time watching it from the big screen at the lounge at the WL. I would try watching it from your hotel's lounge where he will be surrounded by like minded fans!!!

by the way.............GO PATS!!!!!!popcorn::

Um, have your husband contact me. I, ahem, have a listing of all the radio stations that carry NASCAR from Atlanta to Kissimmee. And another listing of all the stations from Atlanta to Toledo (where our son lives). And someone actual does live if they miss a race? Hell, if we can't at least listen to it, we tape it and avoid any coverage until we can see it.

You couldn't be more wrong. The Bears are gonna kiss some "WHO DAT" butt.

....Back to your regularly scheduled thread...

I know, but he sure does hate to miss one. When he was over seas I taped them and sent them to him!!;)
What station would have the race on coming home from Kissimmee on I-75, then hitting I-10 west towards Tallahassee??
Thanks!
:)

He could try in one of the resort lounges and if it is not to his liking he could always go back to the room. Might be less embarrassing for him when the Saints are winning -

I'll actually be in the air on the way back from a trip to North Carolina! Will be less anxiety for me!

And remember, this is a friendly board. Let's keep it that way. ;)

Maybe if you remind your DH how much you're paying for airfare, room, food & tickets & that the score will end the same whether he's watching the game or not, he may make up his own mind!
&

GO BEARS!!

We will be traveling to Disney and arriving a few hours before game time. I am trying to figure out how to get my little saints fan ready for nap right at kickoff.
