Beanie Baby Prices for Yard Sale??

I have a bunch of beanie babies in perfect condition that I think I will try to sell at our next yard sale. What is a fair price to ask for?

I know you don't want to hear this.... but I sold 30+ last weekend for 25 cents each. They were commons... not old and not rare. Teenies did not move either.

I tried asking $1 each last year and sold probably 2 or 3.

If you itemize you can probably get more by donating them and claiming the deduction.

They are perfect for any organization that works with kids, Children's hospitals or shelters are always looking for more things to give the kids to make their day a little brighter.

My mom has had a TON at her last 2 years of yard sales. I mean some that are worth like $30+ and she said that she would ask for $5 and see what happened. No one touched one single one of them. The last day of the sale this year she reduced them to $2 and still no one was interested. I don't know if the 'fad' has worn out or if people at yard sales just really aren't looking to spend more than 50 cents Needless to say she still has a huge cabinet full of them in mint condition. We considered maybe trying ebay. just don't have the time or energy yet to post pics and info for all of them- there are a LOT! Good Luck!

I just sold my Disney beanies for $3.00 each at a yard sale. They were gone in the first hour...

I paid $1.00 each for some at a yard sale. We resold them at our school christmas store for $2.50 - $3.00 each. None were left. Good luck. If you can't sell em, donate em.

I sold mine for $2 each or 3 for $5. Sold most of them!

Along those lines, I just heard of a girl in our county that is collecting them to be given to kids that are picked up by an ambulance. Maybe there are similar programs around you for any that don't sell.

People come to yard sales looking for rock-bottom bargains -- a $5 stuffed toy doesn't quite fit the bill. Chances of a beanie baby collector happening by are slim. Additionally, you run the very real chance that children will pick up and play with the toys, and they could be soiled and lose value.

Instead, I'd suggest you put them on ebay. You'll be able to market your beanie babies to a much wider audience, and you're likely to make much more money.

I sold a bag of tiny beanies, from McDonalds and 1 lizzard one all in a freezer bag for $1.00. I didn't want them and didn't want to throw them out. Some lady bought them.

IMO most people go to yard sells wanting to pay very little. The last one we had, no matter what the price--even stuff for a $1 people always ask us to take less. I would sell them on E-bay. You wont get rich off of it but I think you'll do better than a yard sell.

I'd go for Ebay. I often feel the need to pay as much as $10.00 for a Cinders Beanie Buddy or Beanie Baby (hence the seventeen..now eighteen...little bears in my countdown clock)
