Can you use a snack credit for a sundae?

Also, can you take a boat from HS to the Boardwalk to get there?

Is it worth the travel time? My thoughts are maybe go over after our 4pm 50's PT dinner and be back for the Star Wars fireworks.

THANKS!!

Yes, you can take a boat there from HS.

You cannot, however, use a snack credit for a sundae there. Snack credits can only be used at the walk-up window, and only for ice cream cones, ice cream sandwiches, ice cream floats, or soft drinks. The sundaes at B&C start at $9, which is way high for a snack credit to qualify for.

Allow 30 minutes for boat ride to Yc/BC. Once the boat arrives

30 minutes for ice cream

Then boat back

So figure close to 2 hours. Dessert at pt would be easier or somewhere in the park

You can take the boat but sometimes (all the time for us) it's quicker to walk. Also, according to when you will be there, you might want to check because the boat won't be running from HS because they will be working on the Swan/Dolphin bridge. You will still be able to use it to walk. I can't comment as to whether it's worth it, that's subjective. We prefer the soda shop at the Dolphin, easier to get into, no ADRS required and just as good.

It's a pretty long walk, imho, due to all the twists and turns of the paths. And hot. Really hot w little shade

Maybe go after the fireworks?

We have gone to Beaches and Cream each trip because we stay at the Beach Club. It’s a relaxing way to end the day on our way home. It’s very convenient. I don’t think I would go otherwise. The ice cream is good and the portions are super large, however i don’t think it’s worth a boat ride or a long walk. Just my opinion.

I don’t know when you are going but the boat will be down for repairs in early May.

Don’t know how we have misses ice cream at the Dolphin maybe next trip. Ample Hills has good ice cream

Dinosaur Gertie in HS has ice cream on the DP.

B&C wouldn't be a snack credit.

IMO, it would be too much of a hassle to travel that far to get an ice cream, it is a very long walk, or can be a long wait to and from via boat. If you were done with HS for the day and were going back to the resort, then yeah. Ample Hills is also good, a lot of variety to choose from.

OP If you don't have an ADR for it, the wait will likely be very long to sit inside at B&C. ADRs are hard to get - its a small restaurant. The theming - when you sit inside - is fantastic IMO, and love the waitstaff.

Not worth a special trip IMO from HS for the take out window. It's just Edy's ice cream (get it at your grocery store at home). (And from where you order take out, you'll see the restaurant and will be sad you didn't get an ADR. :) )

I do think that sounds like a nice break from HS - to take the Friendship Boat to the Epcot resorts area for a snack (and look around) - but agree with PP to try Ample Hills or The Fountain instead.

I would not use any park time to go to B&C. It is fine if you are in the area but not worth a 2 hour jaunt. There is ice cream in DHS if you want to get a treat.

I agree tht the ice cream is grocery store ice cream, so if you want a break and will be leaving the park anyway, go to the Fountain.

Decent ice cream in a fun atmosphere, and if you are looking for a break from the park then the Boardwalk/Yacht Club area is nice to visit. But as others have said I wouldn't make a special trip just for the ice cream.
