Beaches & Cream ??

I noticed that Beaches does not have ADR's. We are planning AM at DHS and then hopping to MK for the evening and to watch wishes. What are the best times to go to Beaches? Also, what is the best way to get there from DHS?

Best way to get there is to take the shuttle boat to Yacht and Beach (10 minute max ride) Goes to Swan and Dolphin/Y&B and Boardwalk.

Then take the bus to MK after you eat. No reservations at B&C but unless it is right after a park closes - we have never had to wait.

We had to wait 40 minutes at 2:00 in the afternoon. Its a very small restaurant - which means that it can be hard to predict. Usually getting there right at opening or mid-afternoon is a good bet - we had a "pool rush."

It gets very, very busy around lunch time and late in the day to park close. If you don't mind sitting at the counter tell the seater this and it might make your wait a little shorter.

There is also a nice walking path from DHS to the Beach Club, if your feet are up to it. We always enjoy it.

Yes, we also enjoy the walkway from DHS to Beach Club, if we're not too tired. You can also take the boat which is about a 15 min ride. The wait at B&C can be long (twice we waited 45 min for an early dinner), but if you avoid the "normal" eating hours, you'll improve your chances for a shorter wait. It is a very small place, but oh did we enjoy our burgers and Kitchen Sink (with extra peanut butter ).

My ADR for Thanksgiving day is for 7:00 PM. I wonder, if I arrived at Beaches and Cream around 10:45 am this day for lunch, how long the wait would be?

agree..If you go right at opening or at off times and avoid traditional meal times , you should be ok.Also large groups have a much longer wait since there are few tables available.

The actual time the boat is moving may be only 10 minutes, but with wait times for the boat and stops at other resorts, the actual travel time to get from DHS to the YC/BC boat dock will easily be 30 - 40 minutes.

We usually go for a late lunch/early dinner. Sometime between 2:00 - 4:00 pm. The longest we have ever had to wait for a table was probably 15 minutes.

Yes, but the 'To Go' window is supposedly only for basic stuff, not the specialty sundaes like the No Way Jose.

If you just want cones, Seashore Sweets at Boardwalk also has them as a takeout item. Their line also gets REALLY LONG after Illuminations, but its usually a little less intense than B&C. I believe there is an ice cream counter somewhere at the Swolphin, but I'm not sure where.

Yes. The Fountain has a separate counter area (built in) for ice cream and treats. It is located in the Dolphin, at the bottom of the escalators, right across from BlueZoo.
