[Going to Orlando but not staying on site. How can we get over to Beach Club Villas to go to Beaches & Cream without a car? It does not look like the monorail goes there. There is a boat but I am wondering if you have to be staying on property to use it. Anyone know?

Where would you be coming from? I'm assuming if you're staying off site, you're driving to a park and parking or taking a hotel shuttle. If you in Epcot, it's fairly easy. Walk through the world showcase to the back entrance (international gateway) and over the the beach club resort. You'll see the big pool (stromalong bay) and B &C is along side of the pool. You can also walk from MGM. Once again there is a pathway from mgm to the beach & Yacht club resorts.

Either we would go from MK or Epcot. Not sure yet. My mom does not walk to well so I was wondering if we could in fact take this boat I heard about. Or from Epcot can we take the monorail? Thank you for responding!

If going to B&C from MK, just take a bus to the Beach Club. If going from Epcot, you can walk or take the boat to the Beach Club. It is a relatively short walk from Epcot to the Beach Club (5 - 7 minute walk at a reasonable adult walking pace), but if you have issues with your mother walking, then the boat might be the better bet.

The monorail does not go to the Beach Club, so that won't work.

Unfortunately the monorail will drop you off at the front end of Epcot, future world. Your mom and you would have to walk through future world, bang a right at the world showcase-go past canada and UK and then out through the back (international gateway.) If you're at MK take the monorail or the boat to the TTC and get a bus going to the YC/BC resort. Then you're a short walk to B&C

From EPCOT, as the previous poster mentioned, you can go through the international gateway and either take a boat to the resort or walk. From MK you can take the monorail over to EPCOT and then walk around to the international gateway.

Technically if you are not staying onsite you are not supposed to use their buses. But if you mother doesn't get around well I would recommend taking the Yacht and Beach Club bus from MK. I wouldn't do it but I get around just fine. I don't think anyone would begrudge you that with an elderly parent.

So even though we are not staying on Disney Property we would be able to use the boat or bus?

Yes, I've never heard of anybody having their room keys, tickets or anything checked to see if your staying at any one hotel.

The buses from MK back to the resorts are right outside the park gates. As a result, it is not necessary to go to the TTC to get a bus.

I thought as long as you had a MYW ticket (it might possibly be a park hopper) you were allowed to use any disney transportation. I thought that the only times this wouldn't be allowed would be in extreme cases where the disney transport was overwhelmed with guests.

Anyone have a ticket on them? I'm pretty sure this info is listed on it.

That's not correct...any WDW ticket media entitles you to the use of all WDW transportation. Disney encourages off-site guests to visit their resorts and dine at resort restaurants, and off-site guests can use buses, boats, etc. to go from park to park.

Not always true. We were there over July 4th one year. On July 4th evening, they closed down the monorail from Epcot to MK to everyone except resort guests. The CMs said it was b/c MK had to be closed at noon due reaching park capacity and they did not want anymore people over in that area. I heard them tell plenty of people that WDW transportation is for onsite guests only and that non-resorts guests are suppose to park their cars at the park they are visiting. I'm sure this doesn't hold true for 99% of the year but that night it happened.

To the OP, since your mom doesn't walk very well what about getting a taxi to take you to BC. They can take you straight to the front door.

The reason they closed the monorails and other Disney transportation is because of the park capacity. Staying in a Disney Resort guarantees being allowed into the parks even after they've reached capacity.
When I was at the World for New Year's Eve we went to AK in the morning, then wanted to transfer to MK for the celebration. We had one CM tell us that MK was closed, but another told us that they were probably told to do that to divert people to the other parks.

Anyways, considering they would be trying to leave the parks, not enter them, it should not be a problem to use Disney transportation to get there. Then, if for some reason EPCOT or MK reached capacity, they would only have to tell the bus driver that they were parked there, and I'm pretty sure the driver wouldn't refuse them transportation back to their car.

Either way... the OP would be able to take a bus from MK or a bus/boat from EPCOT to get to Beaches and Cream.
