How easy is it to leave Epcot and get to Beaches & Cream? Is it far, and typically does this stay open late?

We'll be there in June and may try it for the first time. I've heard its small, so a little worried it will be crowded and very time consuming (which is ok, just need to plan for it).

It is extremely small, they don't take reservations, and Epcot closing time is pretty much guaranteed to be very crowded. I believe it is open until 11.

The Beach Club resort is a short walk from the Epcot International Gateway. Beaches & Cream is located in the pool area. You can't walk through the pool area, it's fenced, so you must access it from inside the resort. Pass the Cape May cafe and walk until you can exit the building.

YOU, my friend, are the best. Thanks, that will help. Kids are finally big enough to tackle this gastro-illogical desert that must be, well, attempted.

That is our favorite resort to stay at. We have gotten ice cream to go and eaten at the tables outside. Nice way to end a nice evening if it is too crowded inside.

OP, so that it's not confusing, the Kitchen Sink is not available via the To Go window.

The best time to try to get in is between lunch and dinner.

"Ditto" on the time to go. We were able to get in around 2:30 to 3:00 PM with only a 5 minute wait. We saw 3 Kitchen Sinks delivered while we were there. They announce each one and strobes go off while it is delivered to your table. We had only sundaes since it was just DW and me, but they were great, too.

One hint, if B&C is too busy, the store in the BC DVC area sells about a dozen flavors of gelato that are excellent. You get it to go and sit a tables outside the BCV where it is generally very quiet and relaxing. :thumbsup2

Glad to see this thread. We are planning to stop in for the Kitchen Sink on our trip in December around 3:00 while on break from DHS, but were worried that A. it may be busy ALL day or B. it would be too early for icecream (but c'mon---we're on vacation, icecream for breakfast, lunch OR dinner should be acceptable, right??? ;) )

I have a family of 7 (maybe 8 if my Mom comes)...do you think we have a better chance of getting a table mid-afternoon as has been suggested, or at opening? I was thinking of being there right at opening (11 am?). I would think it might be hard to get a table for 8 any time other than that (?) Thanks!

We tried to get in to this place several times our past trip. Wasn't willing to wait an hour and a half. We were staying at the Dolphin so we wandered back there and ate at the ice cream place there. They have a kitchen sink type of deal and it satisfied my children's desire to try it. It was yummy and we were able to choose the different types of ice creams, toppings, etc. No, it's not Beaches & Cream, but it was a fantastic substitution for us. Tuck that into the back of your mind just in case you find a long wait, too!
