I'm torn between getting ADRs for either B&C or Ohana on our next trip. We will eat at one of these places for dinner on our break day from the parks. That morning we will eat at Chef Mickeys and maybe snack for lunch back at our resort depending on what time we get ADRs for CM. We have never eaten at either of these restaurants, and they are both on our "to try" list, but unfortunatley we will only be able to fit in one during our next trip.

We will have 9-10 people in our party with 1 5yr and 1 2yr old.

Beaches & Cream does not have seating for large groups. It is so small you would have to split into two tables.

I feel like you have two completely opposite choices. Would you like burgers that you can get anywhere with massive ice cream sundaes? Or would you like a family Hawaiian all-you-care-to-eat dinner with entertainment value (like the coconut races for the kids) and bread pudding?

My opinion is that both places have a fun atmosphere, but the food at Ohana is more interesting. So I agree with the previous poster. You can probably find a burgers-and-ice cream place near wherever you live in the US. If someone is from a country where burgers and ice cream are uncommon, that would be different.

Agree with other poster that the food types are totally different from each other. I am going to Ohana for the first time in March but it sounds like it's a more fun environment.

you didn't mention if you were going to be on the DDP. This might play a factor if you are seeing how Ohana would be a great use of a dining credit, but Beaches not so much. Same goes if you are paying OOP Beaches would most certainly be less expensive than Ohana.

You said you will eat breakfast at Chef Mickeys. Do you want to do two all-you-can-eats in one day? That would not work well for my family. Beaches & Cream is great, but I would be hesitant with a party your size (there are about four-five booths and four-five tables only in the whole restaurant). Ohana sounds like a good option if you did something smaller for breakfast.

These are two different, but both equally good choices. For large groups, O'hana is probably your better bet, unless you don't mind your party being split. Also, as mentioned above, if you are doing DDP, you'll be getting more bang for your buck at O'hana.

I would definitely do O'hana, especially with a group that size. IMHO, there is absolutely no need to go out of your way to go to Beaches and Cream unless you want to order one of the sundaes or the kitchen sink. Otherwise, the food is quite greasy and bland. O'hana is a full meal and then some! Plus there will be entertainment. It's a really fun experience!

My only hesitation about Ohana are some f the negative reviews it has been getting lately.

We loved Beaches and Cream. HUGE delicious salad easily split between 2 adults and yummy ice cream. And we decided that we have probably seen the last of Ohana unless we get "free" dining. We dislike having to ask for more food, are not interested in the kid races, and it's expensive. We also felt rushed there. But I would not go to B and C with a large party. The tables are small and very close together. Ohana would be a better choice for you, imo.

I much prefer Beaches and Cream not an Ohana fan but Beaches and Cream really isn't suitable for a large party.

The only way I'd go to B&C with a party that large was if we had arranged to rent out the whole place. It is that tiny.

B&C would be off my list with that large of a group. You can sneak into the line there to get ice cream, but the seating area is very small for ADRs, and with that many folks, you will be sitting all over the place.
Ohana is good, its fun and can engage a large group and allows for seating a large group

While I would rather eat at Beaches-n-Cream (I know it's the minority) with the size of your party, I'd probably go with O'hana. Beaches-n-Cream is a very small restaurant and it would be difficult to get an ADR for all 9-10 (you'd literally be about half the customers at that time). If you can get it and you guys don't mind being a little scrunched and possibly split up, then I'd go for Beaches-n-Cream, but I'm sure you'd like O'hana as well and it's more set up for a larger party.
