It had been a few years since our last trip, so I could not wait to get back to my favorite place for a burger, Beaches & Cream. The ones I had before had the "old-fashioned" taste (the way they made them back in the 50s), and were soooo good. The ones we had last week however, were a huge letdown. Just another flavorless burger (and bun) typical of the ones you'd get at a counter-service place. The fries were also basic and boring. My daughter wasn't impressed with her grilled cheese; she let me have a taste and I agreed. Soooo disappointing; B&C is now off my list. The ice cream was still good, though they have fewer selections than before.

Bummer. Our first visit there was in 2015, and I've never had (or expected) "old-fashioned" or special food there. Everything was tasty, though. Interesting to know that the food used to be different, but we have always been satisfied there. Sorry you didn't enjoy yourselves.

Bummer. Its been several years since we had a burger there, but I remember them being very good. Hope you just hit them on a bad day and its not a permanent change.

We ate there two summers ago. Its was good food. I would not write home about it but not disappointed. hope it's not worse.

I've been there a few times but only for ice cream. So I guess it's save for me to go back in a few weeks. As far as Ample Hills I've never been there. Might have to swing by.

I hope they didn't change anything. We had dinner at B&C in September. I had the burger (pictured above).. it was the best burger I have ever had in Disney. It was so fresh and delicious. I am used to the burgers they serve at QS locations and this was nothing like those. The fries were so good, wish they gave a little more lol.

The Kitchen Sink is a fun must-do, one time. I have tried them for lunch/dinner a few times and have never thought the food was good. Now that Ample Hills is open over in the Boardwalk, I won't go back to B&C - Ample Hills is ice cream is soooooo much better.

Right. B&C is just Edy's, which isn't even near the best ice cream you can buy at your home grocery store, whereas Ample Hills is reeeealllllly good.

We used to eat there a lot years ago when they weren't so crowded and you could just walk in. Now we eat at the soda shop at the Dolphin, they have good food, you don't need ADRs, it's rarely as crowded and the milkshakes are huge.

Bummer. We haven't been before and will be trying it out in August. Having said that it'll be after an afternoon spent drinking around the World so maybe it won't matter as much. ;)

And yet it continues to be one of the hardest ADRs to book (in advance). I just checked for my week in September, and there's no availability for any day/any time. I'm just hoping that it has what happened both of the last two visits-once we got on WDW property, there were several last-minute openings.

The burger I had there a few years ago made me swear off any burgers there in the future. It tasted like it was microwaved or not real beef (no good flavor - you usually get this when you use beef with less fat like ground round or ground sirloin). This past trip I had the Chicken Salad sandwich instead.

We booked B&C on line the evening before we went. Probably someone else cancelled 24 hours out. Keep checking the website.

I go to the Brooklyn location all the time. Ample Hills is outstanding. I have never been to B&C but the main draw there seems to just be that they put mediocre ice cream in a giant container and throw everything they possibly can in with it. Ample Hills is all about quality ice cream and outstanding flavors.

It's a very small place and has a reputation of greatness that is probably unwarranted, hence the limited availability. We still want to check it out (if for no other reason than eating the spectacle of the kitchen sink), but we don't stress over not being able to get an ADR for it.

This is the way they were in April too. They cook them right in front of you - I don't think they've changed anything. Most people love them. Actually, IMO, none will taste like the good burgers we can grill at home, as we actually season ours very well, and they don't, because people have such varying tastes/requirements.

Love their banana splits!

It's been around 15 years or so, since we thought the burgers themselves were better quality than counter service burgers. What made them better was that they were cooked to order, unlike CS. If I wasn't going for a sundae, I'd definitely look elsewhere for a much better quality TS burger.

I had a burger there probably 5 years ago and it definitely wasn't anything remarkable.

We've never eaten here but was going to try it this time around. However there is zero availability for our entire 9 day stay. I had no idea this one was so hard to book. I imagine its because there is such a small amount of seating. Oh well, this just means we'll be trying somewhere else new :-)
