Beaches & Cream makeover

Anyone else bummed by the new look of Beaches & Cream? We have ressies for it (our first time eating in, we’ve gotten ice cream from the takeout counter). I was looking at pics and recent review videos, and they’ve made it imho really drab, generic. The fun decor touches that gave it a nostalgic soda fountain look are gone apart from the juke box.

I was just there 2 weeks ago. I did not get that it was 'drab'. It isn't a primary color palette anymore, so I get what the OP is saying, but it's hardly drab. I was really impressed with the new size, seating and the food was great!

I had no issues with the makeover and was a big fan of the original. Many childhood memories there. It felt pretty similar but very clean and fresh.

I think the lack of booths is what makes the biggest difference looks wise - but honestly I’ll take the fact that I can get a reservation more easily over looks any day! The food was amazing.

We did not enjoy our experience at all and will not go back. This was one of our favorites and must-dos, but the new expansion takes all the charm and the atmosphere is just so bland. This was the ONLY must-do from my DD-15 this trip and she has NO desire to return. I understand the need for change and expansion, but we just don't like what it has become.

Really love Ample Hills. The ice cream is much better than B&C.

It became massively overhyped on the internet- driven by hard to get reservations due to tiny size, and that horrendous kitchen sink that turns to brown gloop, with “ a full can of cream”, lovely. As above, Ample Hills is much better quality.
They also shoved all the prices up at B&C, the pace difference now compared to 5 years ago is a substantial percentage increase.
So it went from good value hidden gem as it was called, to massively overhyped.

We went in January and just had the fun milk shakes for dinner. While they were yummy we didn’t get the best service. (Yes I told manager) not sure if it was because we weren’t ordering a full meal or not but our server wasn’t as attentive to us as his tables around us. We had to wait 20 minutes for him to get our mugs washed and then 15 more for him to bring our bill. Thought it was cute inside, hadn’t been in about 14 years so don’t remember what if looked like.

Do they still have the siren go off when people get a kitchen sink?

I’ve been a couple of times this year.

I liked the charm of the older smaller version, but clearly the small part wasn’t working.

Both the food and the service was as I remember it. Both times I had the patty melt and the No Way Jose sundae. Yummy.

Yes the light still goes off and they still make a big scene out of the kitchen sink, but truly that charm is missing, and our service was very slow as well, along with my burger being meh...speaking of burgers, the burger we got at the renovated Planet Hollywood was the BEST burger I have ever had on property, in fact, that place was the surprise hit of our trip...what a change for the better! Great meal!

We were there in December thought the food and service was really good.... The atmosphere is a lot different from when the place was smaller but bigger makes more people able to experience it
