We did this in May of 2009 as a surpise for my ice cream loving dad. He had no idea what a kitchen sink was or that he was getting one when we got there. We arrived at Beaches and Cream around 11:15 am and did not have a long wait at all, I would say less then five minutes. While waiting for our order they brought one out to the table behind us and my dad then wanted one too, but what he did not know was that we had ordered one while my mom had him "look" at something out the window. Our waitress let us change the coffee ice cream to vanilla with no problems at all. I must say this is alot to eat and we did split two meals between four adults before they brought this out. That being said three of us gave up early in the attempt to finish this, leaving my dad more half to finish by himself, which he did. He loved it and I think it was a highlight of his trip. My dad by no means is a heavy man, but he can put his ice cream away.
Do I think it is worth the $23.99? You bet I do, to see the excitement on my Mom and Dad's face, it was well worth it. Would we do it again, yes we would with new visitors or if my dad really wanted this again. I do recommend this to anyone who is looking for that little something special or who is up for a challenge. If you do not think this is something you want to try I would recommend a No Way Jose (so so good) or another smaller ice cream sundae. Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to share our fun experience and great Disney memories with the Kitchen Sink.
