Are the sandwiches and other food good, or should we just stick to the ice cream?

Last time we went we had burgers, fries and onion rings...OMG!!! they are so good and both DH & I can say that they are the best we have ever had!!! whenever we have burgers, fries or onion rings now we always say, good but not as good as Beaches & Cream!!! this place is a must for ice cream and their sandwiches... :thumbsup2

I know I've seen some negative posts re: the food @ B & C, but we eat here at least once, if not twice each time we go and have never had a bad burger!!! We LOVE it here!!! :)

The burgers are good here. The only downside is that they are very juicy and the bread tends to fall apart. We often buy 1 burger with double meat and share it. It is more than enough to share. If you want to do this, tell your waiter/waitress and they will have it cut in half, placed on a separate plate and split the fries. We do this when we plan to have one of their large desserts. The hot dogs are also great and are are absolutely enormous. It is also large enough for 2 people to share.

We ate lunch there twice on our recent trip. It was very good! The first time I had the chicken caesar salad and it was delicious. The second time DH and I shared the roast beef sub and onion rings. That too was excellent! And, of course, the ice cream is great! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Not a B&C fan. Thought the ice cream was grocery store-ish (and not even good grocery store) and the burgers were OK. Mostly it was a bad value. But you can see other people love it, so give it a try and see for yourself.

Don't order the grilled chicken sandwich - it was truly awful. I have eaten the "real" food there twice and have not been impressed so we are sticking to ice cream from now on.

I love Beaches and Cream!!! I stayed at the Beach club last year and we ate there at least 4 times!!!! The burgers are soo juicy abd the onion ribgs are to die for!!! The roast beef sub was excellent too.... Definately worth a visit IMO!!!! :cool1:

Um, don't mean to burst anyones bubble, but I think they closed beaches and cream. Last time we went there, it was gone. Please, please, please tell me that someone can prove me wrong. I was there in April 2006 and they told me it was being replaced with a resort quick food restaurant.

Ok, I am not sure about that comment. I started thinking and we did not actually go there last time. I am thinking, though, that I read it in 2006 Birnbaum. I love the place, so I hope I am very wrong.

I know it was closed, for a brief time, last December. We went there and the CM told us they were redoing something...can't remember. Anyway, she told us that the Yacht Club Galley was serving Beaches n Cream menu items. We walked over there, and, sure enough, they were.

We were there in May and fear not Beaches and Cream still exists! The Birnbaum guide is wrong. I agree, they're O Rings are fantastic! The burgers aren't too shabby either...but the Kitchen Sink is OUT OF THIS WORLD! ummmmm!

Well, thank goodness. We have just been really sad about it since we were there. I'm trying to find my 2006 book right now so I can verify my post, but it seems to be missing!
I love the kitchen sink too, but really, everything I have had there is good and the atmosphere is fantastic!

I was there a week ago Saturday. It is alive and kicking. :cheer2:

Whatever you do, do not order the wraps. They were disgusting! The cookies that they were served with were burnt and the chips were soft. You can tell ffrom my experience, we are not fans. In fact it rates second on my list of the worst dining experiences ever. To this day, the kids talk about how terrible it was. I have to add that the server was poor too.
We might consider going back for ice cream (we arent burger fans so that would never be a choice - they did look good though) but nothing else.

I've had burgers there about 5 or 6 times, and they've always been excellent. :)

We were there in May and it was great. DH and I shared a grilled chicken sandwich, which was tender and moist, very good. We also had their onion rings, which I think everyone should try them, they are out of this world. And finish it off with a No Way Jose, I think it was the best sundae I have ever had. We cannot wait to go back!
