Does anyone know which desserts/sundaes at Beaches & Cream would be included as choices on the dining plan? (Obviously I know you can't use it on the Kitchen sink) but I wanted to see what the options were. Thanks.

if you have 4 or more people, you can actually get the kitchen sink. we only had 3 so we missed by 1 person but still ordered it OOP.

Unfortunately there is only 2 of us, so not an option for us either, but good to know for the future!

Do you know if kids can constitute the 4? We'll have two adults, 3 Disney kids, and I'd written this one off for this trip because we're going on the DDP. It seemed like a better experience to do when you're paying oop and getting the kitchen sink.

I'm not sure as my daughter is now an "adult" on the dining plan.

In 2012 we had 3 adults a 65 year old great aunt, me and my daughter (then 12) and we had her then 2 year old half sister. I was going to pay for the Kitchen Sink but the manager said we could use the 4 desert credits off the meal plan for it.

So if there is only 2 of us, is everything else available to us on the menu for individual credits or does anything else have restrictions?

To my knowledge, the only restriction is the kitchen sink. You should be able to get any other specialty sundae on DDP. DH and I have used dining plan credits there in the past, and we each get the No Way Jose sundae every time.

This is a little off topic. Sorry. We have a reservation for Beaches and Cream. Is it too much food to eat dinner at Yachtsman and just go there for dessert? Do you recommend eating dinner and dessert at B & C? Is there an alternative that I am missing?

That could be a lot of food because the food at Yachtsman is plentiful and good and the deserts at Beaches are huge. But hey its vacation.

Thank you so much! You definitely helped me decide. I don't want to be so full that I don't enjoy my ice-cream. I always try to fit in everything in our schedule and I need to remind myself that there is always next time.

IMO, it would be a lot of food. The entrees at Beaches & Cream are lighter fare (sandwiches, etc) so we have more room for the giant sundaes after we eat there. You'd also need an ADR to dine-in at Beaches & Cream, which means you'd have to have two somewhat back-to-back ADRs with the right timing. Maybe it would work if you spaced it out enough so you aren't rushing at dinner and have time to digest a bit. You could even share a sundae. An alternative option is to get a sundae at the walk-up to-go window at your own convenience, but they don't offer the specialty sundaes there. You could also try your luck inside at the counter which is first come first served. If seating is available, you can get a specialty sundae at the counter.

We really like the food at Beaches & Cream and go there for lunch often, so I would eat dinner there personally. But as I mentioned, its lighter fare and super casual so very different than the kind of dinner you'd have at Yachtsman.

Can you use snack credits inside beaches & cream?

Not that I know of. Perhaps at the to-go window which is walk-up? I can't think of anything on the dine-in menu that would allow a snack credit.

Thank you so much. You are very helpful. I have an ADR for Yachtsman at 5 and B &C at 7:20. I think I'm just going to cancel Yachtsman. My husband and I are foodies and love a great steak. My kids would definitely rather diner type fare. I wanted to try Yachtsman and we have great reservations all the other nights so it will have to wait for another trip. I wish we lived closer. There are just so many great options!
