Beaches & Cream as a TS?

Under the Disney Dining Plan you get an appetizer, entree, dessert, and beverage. Beaches & Cream is counted as a table service, but does not have any appetizers listed on their menu. Correct? My son and D-I-L want to eat there one day to try the Kitchen Sink. However, I know the Kitchen Sink is also not included as a dessert under the plan (and I wouldn't expect it to be), but if we aren't going to be able to get an appetizer, nor with the Kitchen Sink will we obviously be ordering a dessert either, it seems like a waste of TS credits. Has anyone used a TS at Beaches & Cream? My suggestion is for us to go over to the Boardwalk and try Big River Grill splitting TS credits so we don't get so full, then walking over to Beaches & Cream just to get the Kitchen Sink. When I was there in January with my elder son and GD we tried the Kitchen Sink the day we arrived and did not like it at all, but my D-I-L is determined to get a picture of us with a Kitchen Sink and wants to use a TS credit there, paying extra for the Kitchen Sink using my DDE card.

I know their burgers are supppsed to be good, but when we went in January they had run out and used those burgers from Hurricane Hannahs. I decided to give them another try when I went back in May, but again got the standard Dairy Queen like burger. When I questioned the waitress about it happening twice she admitted that anytime they run out, that they use the patties from Hurricane Hannahs. I just hate to waste a TS credit here. Anyone have any thoughts!

If you won't be ordering desserts, it would definitely be a waste of TS credits. Even with dessert, B&C is one of the "cheapest" TS options.
I've read reports of people getting fruit or chips as an appetizer, but others report that appetizers aren't offered. We plan to use TS there anyway & share.

Your idea of eating elsewhere first would work. (Personally, I'd try really hard to convince D-I-L to just skip the Kitchen Sink :flower: )

Done tried! Didn't work! Even my other son and my GD told her the Kitchen Sink was in my GD's words "YUCKY", but she still wants to try it and can't see wasting time to go eat somewhere else first. Of course, this is also the same D-I-L who had me cancel Bomas and Whispering Canyon ADRs, so we could eat dinners at Cap'n Jack's and Crystal Palace and insisted on Planet Hollywood for our arrival night. This all after I had printed her off menus from AllEars, told her I wanted Le Cellier one night, but other than that told her she could pick out any TS meals she wantedfor our trip. I gave her a couple of weeks to decide, and almost a month later she still hadn't decided, so I went ahead and made ADRs at 89 days from the day we will be departing WDW to come home. A week or so later she finally got back with me and asked me to change several I had made. I love her dearly, but can I strangle her?
