Beaches and Creams without an ADR?

The last time we were at WDW in 2012, it didn't need an ADR. Just recently I was checking my other ADRs and I realized that there is an ADR option now. Now just a couple of days over 2 weeks till our trip I it's completely booked for the days we want. Is its possible to get in without an ADR? I would really hate to miss it. Thanks for any advice.

I was just able to score a next day ADR last Monday - so don't give up! And in December I was able to get an ADR for that same day. We were sitting in Diagon Alley and I was not feeling the ice cream there, so I said why don't we see if we can get something at B&C. And there it was!

Don't give up. But you can try walk up but be prepared to wait especially depending on the time of day you go. If so, have a back up plan like maybe The Fountain in the Swalpin. I've never been there but many have said the food and ice cream is better there.
I've done walk up several times at B&C. We are also ok at sitting at the counter which has always been better for us doing walk up.

We've stayed at the Yacht Club many years and have never been able to do a walk up and get an ice cream in the evening. The line was out the door and tons of people waiting outside.( in September )☹️

We went last December. We had an ADR but two different groups of people walked up and asked about seating and the hostess said they'd be waiting at least 2 hours. It was dinner time (around 7p I think). This might be an anomaly though as that was my first experience there.

We also have stayed at Yacht Club the last couple of years and tried to walk up and were told and least an hour and a half wait. I'd keep looking for an ADR and if you try to walk up I'd expect a long wait.

If you're after a cheeseburger then ice cream, consider Crew Cup lounge then the B&C walk-up window. No ADR needed to execute (but I don't think you can use Dining Plan).

The Fountain at the Swan is also well-reviewed, although be aware they don't take Dining Plan.

Definite check the closer you get. I have gotten B&C day of, but I only had 20 minutes to get from DTD (before it became DS) to BC. (We did make it with about 2 minutes to spare, although we still had to wait about 10-15 minutes for the next table to open up.)

They have a to-go window-- you can get many of the ice cream dishes there. They are not all listed on the menu-- you can ask at the counter for what you want. We ordered the No Way Jose that way. We have heard them tell walk-ups 1-2 hours at the podium :scared1:

Thanks for the suggestions. I kept trying and I was able to get an ADR for the day we wanted. Gotta have the No Way Jose.
