Beaches and Cream?

Hi All!

We make our ADR on Monday and I'm struggling in deciding on a non-park restaurant to go to on our arrival day. We will have a party of 6 (4 adults, one infant, one toddler) and two of the adults have had gastric bypass surgery and could not do a buffet-style dinner. We want to go to a nice resort and explore a bit but want to make it back to AoA and rest up for the night before hitting the parks.

Is Beaches and Cream a good choice (feel free to recommend any others)? Can I make an ADR there? And are we allowed to park at the Beach Club if driving from another resort (AoA)?

Thanks :)

We enjoyed it very much on our June trip. It's typical soda shop food, but good. We stayed at the YC and both the YC/BC are great to explore. The restaurant is TINY, you absolutely have to have a reservation.

We've eaten at Beaches and Cream twice, the last time just a few days ago. As has been mentioned, it's tiny and the food is diner/ice cream shop fare. The atmosphere is really fun and the entire Yacht/Beach Club and Boardwalk area is great to wander through.

I think the food here is a little pricey ($16 for a cheeseburger) for how basic it is. If you're looking for burgers/barbecue, you could check out Big River Grille & Brewing Works on the boardwalk. It has a larger, more diverse menu and prices are reasonable (a similar cheeseburger is $11.50). Link to menu here: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/boardwalk/big-river-grille-and-brewing-works/menus/

They don't take reservations though so you'd just have to show up and see what the wait looks like.

Big River Grille DOES make reservations, just not through the Disney reservation system. They have their own website at
www.bigrivergrille.com. Or you can call directly I think it is 30 days in advance.
I agree, it is also a good choice in that area.
Enjoy

I think Beaches and Cream is a great choice. Good food, fun atmosphere, and tons of ice cream. What better way to get into the disney bubble!

That's great - thanks for the info! I thought it was strange that I couldn't find a way to make an ADR, though when we ate there we got right in with no trouble.

Because B&C is SOOOO tiny, you may not be able to get ADR for your arrival date because others whose ADR dates opened before yours may have already snagged them. I thought you should know so you're not disappointed.

We love Beaches and Cream! As others have said- an ADR may be difficult but even if you don't get it immediately keep checking back because people cancel! Also, if you're able, try to be open to "off" meal times since that might help you secure a reservation!

We tried this... Beaches and cream on our arrival day since it will be a pool day at stormalong bay that day for us. But, even though we were 180 days out others had access to that day before us and they were booked. I ended up booking for our last day there 10 days later (180 + 10). I've been checking ever since and now I'm a couple of weeks out and still no luck. Hoping to score a reservation perhaps the night before when people cancel before their cc is charged. Keeping fingers crossed!!
