We have a group of 11 of us and we want to eat at Beaches and Cream. Do you think if we went around 4:30 for supper we should be able to get in? I stayed at the Beach Club last year and I know that later is always really busy. The kids want to try the Kitchen Sink.

I really don't think there is any surefire way to know, other than to try!
DH & I have never had success getting in there in may, but in december, we had no problem. 4:30 may be a good "off" time to try. GL!

The big issue is that you won't be able to sit together since I think all the tables are for four and I even think the booths only seat four. Also I was having a little conversation with the hostess and she said that you are not allowed to move any of the tables together.

11 is a lot, I think that's about a fifth of the the entire seating capacity.

The booths are huge - they can probably seat six, especially if some are kids - but no way they can seat eleven in one booth. I know I was in there with a friend once and they put us in the middle booth (there's only 3 booths). A big party came in and they split the party and put half of them each of the other two booths, with us in the middle. So with a party that size you're likely going to have to take whatever they have open.

I wouldn't call them huge.

More like booths for 4 adults or 6 kids that don't mind touching each other. :lmao:

Last time we were there, there were a few separated groups as the kitchen sinks came out ...

You would see groups of people come from other tables to share the bounty.

It almost looked like when one came to a table, anyone could just come up from any table and get some ice cream. :rotfl:

DH and I finally got to go last May (we stayed at BWV) and it was one of the few places we could find food at off hours. I think if you go during off hours, you should be fine. We love that place! We're taking DH's family this summer so there will be 7 of us....enough to tackle the kitchen sink!

We've stayed at BC many, many times, but never wanted to take a chance on getting a table there UNTIL last summer. We had plenty of time before our DCL bus picked us up for our cruise, so we arrived at B&C at the 11am opening and were seated immediately. We love B&C and will likely return IF we're around for the 11am opening.

You will need at least 2 KS. Its listed as serving 4. :scared1:

We were there last month and there was a big group and they just took up all the tables down the middle of the restaurant. It's snug enough in there that they were all able to talk to each other and were having a great time.

We were told that around the 4 oclock hour it is relatively dead there so that would be a good time to go.

i think that doing this may be the best option esp for a party of this size plus it does get busy doing peak hours! hope you enjoy! :goodvibes

I think the point I was trying make was your party will be split up and will not necessarily be next to each other.

So hopefully the make up of your party will allow you to be at up to three tables/booths not next to each other.

Be prepared to wait just in case.

We went there end of August...party of 8. I think we got there at about 4:00pm. We waited AN HOUR for a table.

While I really enjoyed it and will go back again I was a bit disappointed in teh service. Everyone moves slowly in there (at least on our day). There were people waiting and a CM cleaning the tables was taking about 15 minutes to clear off the tiny tables for 2. And after we had eaten we waited about 30 minutes for our sundaes at the end. All told it was about a 2 and a half hour excursion - NOT including the travel time from park and back to resort.

We went for a late dinner with a party of 9. Waited 90 minutes or so, and were still seated at two tables, opposite ends of the restaurant.

To top it off, it was the absolute WORST meal I have ever had in 20+ visits to Disney. Thank goodness for the No Way Jose I shared for dessert! That ranks up there with the best.dessert.ever, IMO. So if you're just going for the ice cream I'd say great as long as you're prepared for the possibility of 1) waiting, and 2) being split up.

I know we would be split up just wondered if 4:30 was a good time to go. Sounds like it may be so we will give it a try. We are eating at Prime Time for lunch this should work out great.

I stopped by Beaches and Cream for my very first visit today at about 11:20 a.m. Even though they'd been open for 20 minutes, I was the first party of the day and the whole staff did the little greeting ceremony. It seemed wasted on me as a solo diner, but the rules are the rules, I guess. ;) Unfortunately the main jukebox was out for service. And the mini-jukeboxes at the booths don't work. :sad1:

On the plus side, the grilled turkey was great, as was the sundae I had for dessert. A few more diners drifted in just past 11:30 or so. It was getting busy as I got ready to leave just before noon.

We were there last year and there was a party of 8 and they just pushed two tables together and they shared a Kitchen Sink, so I know they CAN push the tables together, but guess they can also decide not to according to a PP. I would think that you would need more than 1 Kitchen Sink though with a party of 11 and would definitely go early lunch or early dinner- it's a small place.

I've never understood why they don't expand this place!Seems like a no-brainer.

Agree :thumbsup2 We've been a few times and sat on the bar stools rather than wait for a table for ice cream, but would not want to eat a meal there. Guess things around it are more profitable than Beaches to expand it. But I know we have turned away, and I've seen others do it also :confused3

I was completely turned away once, they said not to even bother waiting. And that was just a party of one.
