Beaches and cream - worth leaving resort

Hello,
I'm our only rest/resort day for our trip I have an ADR for beaches and cream for lunch. We are staying at Caribbean beach and will have a car. We have the dining plan, but wouldn't use a table service credit for the lunch. Is beaches and cream worth leaving the resort? I know this is a subjective question, but just looking for thoughts. We won't be eating on property at cb too much because we will be eating at the parks most days. How is parking at beach club?

Beaches & Cream is like an old fashioned soda shop. It is mainly sandwiches as your entrees and lots of ice cream specialties. I love ice cream so it would be worth it for me. Don't know if that is worth it for you.
Lunch is right smack dab in the middle of your rest day. Do you want to stop what you are doing and get ready to get in the car to go for lunch?
I don't think I would do that, even for ice cream.

No. We stayed at the Boardwalk in Feb and I regret leaving our resort to to and it was just a short walk! I didn't find the food very good and the ice cream was just standard stuff really. The place is tiny, 8 tables and a bar. There are better places to eat for sure.

We found the ice cream to be pretty standard. We just detoured from EPCOT for a little while to head over. Our original plan was the Kitchen Sink, but the seating is super limited there, so that just wasn't going to work. I would say unless you're resort hopping or want to try the sink, you can skip it.
