Beaches and Cream (Walk up?)

With the new way of operations for the restaurants, is there any way to do walk-up for a meal? Beaches and Cream was the only reservation we were unable to get in June and would like to walk over there on one of our EPCOT afternoons (either late lunch or early dinner). I’ll keep watching for availability, but absent that...can we walk up and check availability or just hang out outside there for an hour or two to see if something opens up?

Yes, inside the app, go to the map and switch to Dining. You can add a filter of reservations accepted to remove some clutter, but from there, click on Beaches and Cream and you'll see an option for join walkup list.



Click that and click join again. You do have to be nearby for this to work, but if you're at epcot, should be close enough.

There are times the wait list fills up and I'm not sure how frequently it happens at B&C, so you may need to keep an eye on that. Also, you typically won't know when you'll be called in, so you'll have to be prepared to head over at any time. I think you have roughly 15 minutes to get there to check in.

The beaches and cream walkup didn't work on the app, according to the cast member (unless that was just an issue they were having that day and is fixed). Would show the walkup option on the app as pictured above, but would always get an error when trying to join walkup. We were able to walk up to the restaurant itself and get on the walkup list. We did it middle of the day, and was a 2 hour wait (had a big party so probably influenced the wait time).

Just got back from a trip and got a last minute reservation through the touring plans reservation finder for 4 on Saturday! But there was a lot of people going for walk ups to sit outside. It sometimes would be at capacity but I overheard the guy said to come back later and check

In all my years on MDE I'd never noticed that you can switch to show dining. Thanks for this information!

I have always been able to get whatever reservation I've wanted (except California Grill) by refreshing for a bit the day before, sometimes the morning of. Try that as well, in addition to the wait list.
