We are staying at BCV this October and I'm thinking about trying Beaches and Cream for dinner. I know they don't take ADR's, so is there are better time to go there for dinner to get a shorter wait? Early around 4? Late around 8? Or does it not matter and they are just busy all the time? If there is a long wait, do they give out those flashy beeper things so that we can wonder around the resort while we wait or even run back to our room if needed? Or do you have to stay there close by to hear your name called? I don't think I'd mind the wait, as long as we could do something at the resort to pass the time. Also, what is a typical wait time for dinner? We will be there during Epcot's F & W festival, so I'm hoping everyone will forget about Beaches and Cream and stay at Epcot to eat!! :rotfl: ;)

Crowds are hit or miss. Crowds determine wait time. Off hours are almost sure to be better, like you mentioned, eating early or late.
Yes you get a flashy coaster looking beeper, but I didn't ask the range. But at least you don't have to wait right near the door. Ours went off fine, and we were within 100 feet at the time.

It's not that it's the crowds, as much as it's just so blasted small. 3 booths, a counter, and some tables inside and out, don't sit alot of people, especially when compared to a regular size eatery.

We went last August (very end, so not-so-crowded). We got there around 4 and were sat at the counter within 10 minutes (party of 6) - it would have been 40 minutes if we wanted a table but that was because we were a large group and B&C is small. I would say get there at an "off" time between 3-4 or after 8, as you suggested. Keep in mind that B&C does do take-out and you could always do that if faced with a long wait.

We were there late October last year, during F&W fest, on a Sunday night after 8 PM. I figured it wouldn't be a long wait, but it was still ~45 min for a table (a party of 3). There was almost no wait for the counter.

Next time I hit B&C, I think I'm going straight for the counter

Does the take-out window sell items off their whole menu or just ice cream? I thought I read somewhere that it was only ice cream, but I could be wrong. It's happend once before. ;)

I went in July for a late lunch/early dinner. I went over from MGM around 3. There was an empty table or 2 and several seats at the counter. Since I was solo, I went for the counter. Had an awesome burger! While I was eating lunch a storm hit and folks left the pool in droves and wanted ice cream.

It's just ice-cream, unless it's changed in the last few months

LOL. I am a "eat ice cream for dinner" kind of gal so um, didn't think about that - never gotten a burger there to go. Good call.

I called ahead & asked about takeout burgers, and they said that they did it. But when I got to Beaches & Cream, they said no, they only sold ice cream at the take-out window. This was last month.

Cheers!

Early dinner (3pmish) seemed to work for us last time, but not late. Once the dinner rush starts, it doesn't seem to end until close, as people are still going later for ice cream. One night I went to get our mugs filled just as the pool was closing and the line for take out was way out the door-this was the line just for taking orders. I waited 30+ minutes to get our mugs filled. (The bar tender at the YC was not cooperating, even though we had gotten our mugs filled at the bar the night before, but that's another story!)

We got there around 7:30pm last Thursday (an evening EMH for EPCOT) and we waited for about 15-20 minutes for a table. We passed the time at Martha's Vineyard and they said nothing about us taking our drinks from Martha's into B&C. We were a party of two and we sat at the counter.

Last time at WDW, we were staying at Beach Club, and we were DETERMINED to go to Beaches and Cream. We checked there two nights in a row around 6:00 and around 8:00. It was jammed both times & they told us the wait time would be 30-40 minutes. Finally, we went really early (a little before 4) and we got a table in 10-15 minutes. We had the kitchen sink (there were "7 of us little piggies"). They even let me go behind the counter to help make it - soo much fun!

I either go when it first opens for an early lunch (11:00am) or between 2-3pm after the lunch rush. I haven't had much luck getting in there for dinner. We went last Tuesday about 2:30 and got right in with no wait at all.

We waited 20-30 minutes for a seat and another 20 for a waitress in October around 4:00. There were tables, but they weren't getting cleared. There was plenty of staff, but they were all busy doing something other than clearing tables or waiting on us. When we did get staff, it seemed inconvineced by having to help us.

(I believe Hannah's does the burgers).
