Beaches and Cream refurb

We’ve been meaning to do Beaches and Cream for a long time, but it’s going to be closed when we’re there this fall. Is there another place that does anything like the Kitchen Sink or the cute sundaes they used to have with the Mickey Mouse pants? I don’t even know if they still have them now. We’ve been to the French place for ice cream (mixed reviews from my family), and I know there’s another place on the boardwalk we have yet to try. I heard there’s going to be a temporary substitute for B&C, but don’t know what they’ll be serving.

Can't believe we posted about B&C at the exact same time :) I don't know of any others- but will be interested to find out!!

LOL I read this and went out to look for your post. I’m hoping the refurb ends sooner than planned but if not, we will probably be back in spring :-)

I’ve heard good things about The Fountain at Dolphin.
The only problem with that place is now we have to decide if we want to "settle for B&C" or take the walk over to the Dolphin. Not that the walk would kill me after consuming half a billion calories, but it's awfully relaxing by the pool, and Edy's ice cream is pretty good . But the Dolphin .... so.. delicious.....

Indeed! A good problem to have!

The best ice cream on property is at Ample Hills at the Boardwalk. B/C is simply Edie's ice cream. You can get that at the grocery store. You can't get the ice cream at Ample Hills at home:). It can be a slow process to get through the line as they allow tastings with little spoons...so sometimes the line drags but I guarantee, the ice cream is worth it.

Some can! (Regrettably, I realize my post contributed absolutely nothing to this thread, but if anyone reading ever finds themselves in NYC they could seek out one of these locations.) Sorry for the interruption...

Their ice cream is great (and I am in NYC and eat it often), but this is not the kind of place to go for sundaes like the OP is asking for though.
